  I walked in there today and 2 colleagues are talking to each other behind the counter and no response or acknowledgement of a customer walking in. Carried on for a few minutes and still nothing, so I just walked back out.

  The member of staff Abs was great with me. He provided me a top assistance. It’s very hard these days to find a person like him. Totally approved and recommended store. Thanks a lot

  Interim Store Manager Abs is a Star I had a job starting and needed to have all the parts for a shower tray installation at hand before my contractor would show up. Any delays and my contractor was going to change dates of the job and then also attempt to increase cost of my job due to time wasted for his crew. I had ordered the parts online at the Wolseley website but somehow that delivery was shown going to the Wolseley outlet in Epping. Getting it diverted back to me in London could take a day or two which I could not spare. I saw that the outlet in Tower Hamlets had the only available parts kit in the London area. I ordered these for store pick-up in the morning of my job. I got to the store in Tower Hamlets around 8am with plenty of time to be back home before the contractor was to show up. When the part’s kit was retrieved from inventory, the gentleman noticed the box was not fully sealed. He suspected it was a return and then proceeded (thankfully) to check that all the parts were in the box against the checklist of items in the instructions. He found that a crucial part was missing. Fortunately for me, this person was the new interim store manager by the name of Abs. I explained to him that I urgently needed these parts for a job that was starting in a few hours. I explained the issue and mix-up with the delivery. Abs explained that he is actually the full-time store manager at the Wandsworth South London outlet but was here on an interim basis filling in due to the departure of the Tower Hamlets manager. He was disappointed to see that an item was returned to the store and not checked fully to ensure all parts were included before being put back in inventory. He mentioned that is not something he would allow in his stores and I am confident after dealing with him that this outlet would put a better process in place. Abs fixed my problem by contacting the regional manager. He got authorisation to have the nearest available part’s kit to be couriered to me within hours from the Wolseley outlet in Reading. The parts arrived a half hour before my contractor showed up. Abs is a star and was great to deal with in what was a stressful situation for me. He kept calm and took the time to ensure that my issue was resolved. He was sympathetic to my issue and I am grateful. I hope Wolseley appreciates what a great resource he is and would be awesome if they made him the new permanent manager of the Tower Hamlets outlet.
