- SHShuaib HussainFeb 24, 20261.0I was pushed into placing an order before December 2025 based on false implications, later brushed off as yet another “misunderstanding.” What followed was a kitchen plan completely different from the one originally agreed with the interior designer. I was even missold a kidney unit under the pretence that it would support a family member’s health needs — another claim conveniently dismissed as a “misunderstanding.” My fitter followed the plan provided, only to discover it wasn’t even fit for use. Basic elements like pipe placement had been ignored, meaning my dishwasher doesn’t fit at all. I’ve now had to subsidise my own fitter to correct issues caused entirely by Howdens’ mistakes, along with making countless unnecessary trips back and forth to the branch — a clear reflection of how careless and disorganised this team is. When I raised the issues with Nick, who introduced himself as the “highest point of contact,” I was met with dismissiveness and unprofessionalism. His responses — “What do you want me to do about it” and “You’re not making sense” — were particularly ironic given that the nonsensical plan came from Howdens, not me. After escalating, a new interior designer visited and openly acknowledged that the standard of work was poor and the plans did differ. Yet the very next day I was told their own fitter now needed to come out, completely undermining the purpose of his visit. Throughout all of this, I’ve repeatedly been told that updated plans exist, but not a single one has actually been shared with me. At this point, it’s clear this branch needs urgent retraining from the Howdens SLT. More importantly, Nick needs serious customer service training — he seems to have missed that module entirely.

Do you have any showrooms?
