I strongly advise against using Magnet Kitchens. We placed an order based on an in-store sample, but the kitchen delivered on 16th January 2026 was the wrong colour. The store initially denied the error. It was only when I physically brought a door into the showroom that they admitted the mistake: Magnet had changed suppliers but failed to update the Slough showroom samples. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must match the sample provided. Despite this being entirely Magnet's error, they insulting termed the replacement kitchen a “gesture of goodwill” rather than a mandatory correction of their breach. The replacement did not arrive until 1st May 2026—meaning my family, including two school-aged children (one of whom has dual sensory impairments), was forced to live in a hazardous environment for 15 weeks with no functioning kitchen or sink. The incorrect units had to be stored in our home, creating massive safety risks. During this massive delay, our original builder moved abroad, forcing us to hire a new fitter at a much higher cost. The customer service and communication from the Slough branch have been unprofessional and adversarial: Evasive Communication: I had to chase daily for updates on the replacement kitchen. Staff frequently ignored calls and emails. Unprofessional Requests: I was asked twice to help their delivery driver load/unload the kitchen (which we didn’t do) and told to come into the store myself to collect missing handles (we refused). Shambolic Delivery & Paperwork: The replacement kitchen arrived without a delivery note. The store manager personally assured me everything was checked and present, yet we are already missing a panel. I am being told they are "locating it," which usually means they forgot to order it. I have received one plinth of the wrong colour-but have been told it’s an extra incorrect piece not a missing incorrect piece. Broken Promises on Installation: Worktop templating was verbally agreed for 1st June. After chasing, as I had received no communication to confirm this, I was told it was arranged for either 3rd or 4th June and an email would be sent out to confirm this. When I received the email a couple of hours later it showed that this was pushed back to 8th June, with installation delayed until 19th June, and full-height fitting delayed until late June. With this timeline, from the initial delivery to the full installation of the worktop, it will have taken 164 days for me to have a finished kitchen. Magnet Head Office requested receipts for 105 days of takeaway meals caused by their delay. I replied on 7th May 2026 outlining that archiving 3 months of minor receipts while living in a building site is highly impractical. I offered a week of bank statements to prove a pattern of loss and requested a standard £25 daily subsistence allowance for a family of four (£6.25 per person)—a rate frequently upheld by the Ombudsman. I addition I put in a claim for loss of amenity, vulnerability uplift, storage fee, redundant labour, new labour cost, distress and inconvenience. As of 1st June 2026, Head Office has ignored my formal complaint for nearly a month, while my finance instalments began in February 2026 for a kitchen I cannot use. I will now be further inconvenienced and stressed due to Magnet by having to set aside more time escalate this matter further. Avoid Magnet at all costs.

We had a great experience with Magnet Slough and the team - Designer Onkar Rajbans and Manager Barry Cook - and have a stunning new kitchen. Onkar had to design a kitchen for a space that hadn't been created yet (we were knocking through two rooms) but he rose to the challenge, made some wonderful suggestions, took all my questions, queries, requests and concerns in his stride - and sorted out the tweaks that had to be made along the way. We're absolutely delighted with the end result, so many thanks.
