  An extremely disappointing and irresponsible delivery experience. A delivery from Huws Gray arrived at our property, consisting of approximately 120 lengths of timber and 60 sheets of OSB. The materials were unloaded on the grass at the front of the property, in an area directly accessible from the public pavement. These materials were supposed to be placed inside the house, but the driver left them outside and refused to deliver them to the agreed location. This has nothing to do with the fact that our project is due to start in two weeks. The issue is that materials which were supposed to be delivered inside the property were instead left outside in an open and publicly accessible area. Given the significant quantity of timber and OSB sheets involved, this could potentially create a safety risk for pedestrians, children and other members of the public. I tried to speak to the driver about the situation, but he was not willing to discuss it with me at all. Considering that the materials had been left somewhere different from the intended delivery location, I found his attitude extremely disappointing and unprofessional. My biggest concern is safety. Members of the public, including pedestrians and children, pass this area, and I sincerely hope nobody gets hurt while these materials remain outside. I am not certain whether this delivery came from the Wigan or St Helens branch, but I expect Huws Gray to identify which depot was responsible and explain why materials that were supposed to be delivered inside the property were instead left outside. I have photographs and CCTV footage clearly showing exactly how and where the delivery was left. Very poor communication, very poor judgement, and an extremely disappointing experience.

  I hired a mini digger for 2 weekends. I predominantly dealt with a gentleman called Alex. He was professional, kind and understanding. I work in healthcare and don't work in the trades and he guided me through everything without judgement. Huw Gray in Garswood has won me as a customer for life and I will use them when I can.   Called in to hire a cement mixer and whacker plate. All sorted by a very helpful chap called Lee. Great knowledgeable service with a smile. Highly recommended.
