Very disappointing experience at Magnet Twickenham. We went in genuinely looking to buy a kitchen and were considering a budget of around £25,000, although we weren’t completely sure what our budget would be until we saw what was possible.
The other staff members we encountered were friendly and greeted us with a smile, but unfortunately Shaashi (unsure of the spelling) took control of our visit. She was extremely abrupt, dismissive and, in our experience, very passive-aggressive in her manner. She repeatedly focused on telling us we needed to spend £35,000–£40,000 on the style we was looking at. We understand realistic pricing, but we expected advice and help, not to feel judged on our budget. She did put together a design, but by the end we couldn’t get out of there quick enough.
When we got back to the car, we actually sat there, looked at each other and said, “Wow, she really made us feel horrible.” That says a lot about how the experience left us feeling.
What makes it worse is that she seemed completely aware of how short and abrupt she was being. It makes you wonder whether this is how she treats customers depending on who they are and what they look like they can afford, which is very concerning.
£25,000 may not seem like a lot to Magnet, but it is a significant amount to us. This experience has put us off Magnet and we are now considering taking our business elsewhere.
Avoid this branch and, if you visit, do not see Shaashi.
I have submitted a formal complaint to Magnet Head Office. Customer service matters, and it is disappointing that this experience has potentially lost Magnet a genuine sale.

Installation by Mr. Ravinder Singh and his team was amazing. They were very professional, punctual, reliable and efficient. Painter Babar did a good job very tidy and systematic.
Designer Mr. Zak was fantastic we felt listened to on all aspects of the design and budget. We were at ease .
Overall very happy with my new kitchen :)

Chiswick - assistant ‘MS’, not customer friendly. We needed to refine previous design. Told not to use coffee machine aside seating area (no staff free at time) - ‘only staff and only for customers at the time of a full design consultation’. Told ‘it could get broken’. Had travelled for 1 hr to Chiswick branch. Considering unit options, MS agreed with one of the two of us consistently - not helpful. School like, disdainful customer service manner. In contrast, Kingston - sound customer service.
