  One of the worst customer experiences I have ever suffered. Everyone at Magnet Kitchens loves to lie, mislead, and make complete fools of their customers. From their showroom designers all the way up to their useless CEO and Directors, they are all shameless liars. We spent £12,000 on a kitchen from their Orpington branch. They showed us polished designs on their screens, grabbed our money, and then dumped incomplete, mismatched rubbish at our house without worktops or appliances. When challenged, their arrogant team claimed they simply "forgot" to deliver the worktop, leaving us stranded for days. They originally slipped in cheap, inferior appliances without any transparent cost breakdown, forcing us to pay even more money to upgrade to decent models. Now, five weeks after taking our money, we are left sitting with useless chipboard boxes piled in our kitchen with ZERO working appliances—no oven, no hob, no extractor, no dishwasher, and no washing machine. They swore on their word that our appliances would arrive two days after the cabinets on 14th September. Now, after three weeks of chasing and being ignored, they casually announce it will take another three weeks. On top of that, the kitchen delivered doesn't even match the layout and structural design promised on their computer screen. We are living in complete misery in an uninhabitable home with school-going children, all because of their deceit and gross incompetence. Lesson learned: If you care about your money, your home, or your sanity, stay as far away from Magnet Kitchens as possible. They are incompetent, dishonest, and will ruin your life without a second thought.

  Avoid this store and magnet! We started with magnet for our new kitchen in February, full installation. It took until August to start the installation. This was entirely delays due to magnet. After receiving deposit they ignore everything, claim things are done which they later, themselves, say hasn't been done. Their installers took 2 weeks, and couldn't finish our tiny kitchen. Their workmanship was so poor magnet are now having to rip out almost the entire kitchen and replace it (2 cupboards of many aren't damaged). The store were completely useless during this process. Special shout out to Terry the designer who shrugged his shoulders and denied he had anything to do with anything (customer care later confirmed he was indeed the person who should be been responsible). The manager Aaron also refuses to respond to contact. He asked us to pay some items directly to the installer, and magnet would pay us back (all in writing of course). This was over £2000. It is now over 4 weeks later after he told us it was actioned 'in the queue'. We have received nothing, and he is ghosting all attempts at contact. This store is so poor at communication even the Magnet central office said they are impossible to contact and don't reply to emails etc. So, 6 weeks after installation started we have a kitchen installed so badly they have to rip it out and start again. Magnet even keep delaying this so will only start in a further 2 weeks, they refuse to accept something that they couldn't do in 2 weeks will take longer than 3 days. I don't think we will have a kitchen in time for Christmas. p.s. KWP were the installer subcontractor, they are even worse than Magnet. p.p.s. we are now going through a section 75, the 0% finance company were apalled, and suggested we just go for a full refund. Update Mid November 2025. It has now been over 3.5 months since work started on the kitchen. Magnet continue to repeatedly fail. Damaged cabinets have been replaced with more damage cabinets etc. Damaged appliances are not being replaced or repaired. Damage to the house has not been addressed. The initial install still hasn't been completed - no hob, missing electric sockets etc. To reiterate, magnet were the sole provider for the entire kitchen, full installation, electrics, plumbing, flooring etc. The senior staff all seem to be quitting. This is a failing company who appear unable to install a kitchen. Again I would advise to avoid like the plague. Update 21st Jan 2026. Magnet have still failed to replace and repair all the damaged items (oven, oven/microwave, multiple cupboards broken etc). They haven't even suggested any dates when they can do this. The store promised refunds months ago (in writing) which the central customer care team are now refusing to honour. Even written statements from Magnet cannot be trusted as they will go against them! Magnet damaged our house significantly during installation - holes in unrelated walls, scratches to wooden floors, damage to door frames etc, and they are expecting us to do the work to get these repaired, despite being fully Magnet's responsiblity. Our kitchen is very small. It has been 24 weeks since installation started and lots of residual works remain. ‐----- The kitchen is finally completed after almost the entire thing replaced, including appliances they have damaged. Total timing- start of August to mid March. Magnet promised many things during this time, e.g. i was told a refund was sent etc, but often this didn't happen I was told those refunds were not happening etc. (All in writing). They are not to be trusted. Cowboy company with a used car salesman mentality.

  The design session to start with was helpful. I believe all they needed to do was to generate the quote by the end of the design session using the software, as simple as that. Everything was pretty much decided. However, everything fell apart after that. I waited for them to send over an initial quote for weeks and even called them a multiple times to get the quote. In the end months passed still nothing came back. It was like they didn't even want to do any business. If they can't simply provide a quote, how can anyone trust them with an order?

  One year after buying the kitchen with a magnet installer, the kitchen is still not finished. Parts are still missing, appliances are still not fixed. Paula just ignored us for months, even though the magnet installer has been chasing them.
