Six weeks past the contractual delivery date, no hob, no dishwasher — and they activated our finance anyway.
Facts, all documented:
We ordered a complete kitchen from Magnet Clapham — supply, appliances and installation, £15,500 — with a contractual delivery date of 5 August 2026. The cabinets, worktops and sink were installed 10–13 August. As of 18 September, the dishwasher and induction hob have still not been delivered: delivery dates of 15 and 16 September came and went, and Magnet has now pushed both to the week of 28 September — almost two months after the contractual delivery date.
The installers disposed of our old appliances without warning us the new ones were delayed — Magnet's own terms say existing appliances shouldn't be removed until the goods have arrived and been checked complete. We were left without appliances and unable to cook at all for about four weeks, until the oven finally arrived in September. Magnet also charged us £500.40 for waste collection it proved unable to schedule — we had to arrange and pay for it ourselves.
The paid-for installation (which includes connecting the appliances and issuing an electrical certificate) is obviously incomplete, and we have never been asked to sign the completion document Magnet's own terms require. Despite that, our finance was activated and the first monthly payment was taken on 6 September — we are paying in full for a kitchen we cannot use. When we challenged this, customer care told us payments start on "dispatch of goods", then a day later "dispatch of your main delivery". Neither trigger applies to our purchase: our finance agreement starts payments only once delivery and the services are complete, and Magnet's own published Terms and Conditions state that the credit agreement's payment terms take precedence over Magnet's. Meanwhile, the store manager wrote to us that our reimbursement would be processed "once the kitchen has received full delivery and the installation has been completed" — acknowledging in writing that it hasn't been.
Magnet's proposed solution: take a refund for the missing appliances and go buy them ourselves from AO.
We have now raised a formal complaint and will refer the matter to the Furniture & Home Improvement Ombudsman if it is not resolved. Will update this review if Magnet puts things right.

Started off ok but throughout we were asked approx. 6 times by Th*ma*a to make a deposit first which was refundable etc. Very pushy and unprofessional, not a nice feeling at all.
In time a design was sent to us but we asked for some revisions as it was totally incorrect but they asked us to make a deposit again!!
So glad we dodged a bullet! Please avoid. They are unprofessional will keep asking for a deposit!! You've been warned!!

."Steer clear. Should change their name to "Incompetence is us
We had our kitchen installed 3 weeks after the date discussed in the face to face appointment and installation was lacking, had to call dozens of time to get someone on the phone, the manager blaming the last manager for the problem.
A year later, trying to book a 1-year after care, lo and behold, the same thing, the booking time comes and no one arrives, after calling several time and finally getting a person - "oops, sorry, we had a schedule change and didn't tell you, manager will call you as soon as possible". No call for a week now.

Initial appointment for planning was good but after that, problems with the final design, installation date, fitters and extra costs such as waste collection and floor protection.
Getting though on phone, email or their portal takes multiple attempts before an apathetic two word reply.
Cancelled the order before sign off and then the problems started with the refund that ‘was processed’. Involved customer service who tried to help but got caught up in the web of what the store was telling them which they passed on to me. None of it was true because when I asked for the receipt for the refund days later, it was only then proceeded.
Spectacular performance for incompetence and saying one thing and doing another for store manager M*k* and designer A*i.
Avoid. If you are considering a kitchen, call the Clapham store and email it…see how poorly responsive they are even before you pay them anything.
Also check the business news. Magnet just filed for a Company Voluntary Arrangement, which is a step towards bankruptcy.

Terrible customer service. Paid a 10% deposit on a 7k kitchen, got zero customer service. Michael the manager cannot run his team and Ali is absolutely useless. Terrible service. Save your money and time and go elsewhere.
