  We purchased our kitchen from Howdens who was recommended by our builders and we were assisted by Wayne. He showed me the different units, handles, fittings and fixtures. Colours, textures as well as the appliances as I wanted it all to match. He made an appointment at my convenience for him to come to the house to measure up the dining room that I got my builders to make into a kitchen. Once this was done, which only took 10 minutes he said to come by after one week to see the design. About a week or so later; as of my work commitments at that time I went back to Howdens and I was presented with my kitchen design. I made a few adjustments here and there and Wayne was so patient. I showed the each design to the builders and afterwards when I was happy with the final result I made the payment with the service team Jess and it got approved by the Manager Abu. I told Howdens that upon delivery my builders will be on site as I will be at work. This was taken into account and made me feel at ease. Everything went smoothly and my kitchen was fitted. After a few weeks later; I needed wardrobes and what better place to go and get them from than Howdens. I got Wayne to come back and get the wardrobe area of the bedroom measured from wall to wall. I already looked into this and told him how I wanted them the look from the inside and outside. As again I needed the handles etc to match the room. Once that was done he said to come back after a few days later to see the design and if I needed anything to change. I showed this to my joiner who approved it too. Payment made, delivery done and wardrobes installed by the joiner.

  I'll be honest — I was really annoyed after receiving the wrong size item. It was one of those situations where there had clearly been a misunderstanding on both sides, so I can't place the blame entirely on anyone, but at the time it definitely felt like a nightmare. I had been quite upset on the phone, so l decided to go into the Cemetery Road branch to get it sorted. As soon as I spoke to Abu, the manager, I immediately felt at ease. He handled the situation calmly and professionally, reassured me that it would be resolved, and took full control of the issue. What started as frustration due to miscommunication ended up being completely sorted without drama. By the end of it, we were actually laughing about how stressful it had seemed earlier — and I even managed to grab a coffee while everything was being handled. Really appreciate Abu's approach and customer service. He turned a negative situation into a positive one.

  I visited this branch a few months ago to look at some internal doors originally recommended to me by my fitter, at the time i didnt purchase the doors but i remember the staff were so friendly & helpful. Fast forward a few months thanks to the memorable experience i received i have recently purchased my doors, kitchen, bedroom wardrobes, flooring & even staircase which I didnt know they did all from them. They have a great range of products & the staff were ever so helpful guiding me & my family throughout. Could not recommend them enough! Abu went above and beyond — professional, patient, and genuinely helpful. Thank you

  Poor follow-up and confusing information I’ve asked several times for a door sample in a specific colour and nobody gets back to me. Howdens called me a few weeks after my account was opened and I explained I was waiting for a call when the sample arrives — I was told “I’ll get back to you,” but no follow-up happened. I also asked about bathroom cabinets because they appear on the Howdens website. The person on the phone said they don’t offer bathroom cabinets, and only after I insisted (and told them to check the website) they said they would get back to me — again, no proper call back, just a short missed call. This experience makes me worry that if you order and something goes wrong, you may struggle to get support. We were planning to buy doors, a kitchen and bathroom cabinets, but due to this service we ordered our kitchen elsewhere. Avoid.
