  Magnet Preston – Seven Months Later and Still No Completed Kitchen I purchased a fitted kitchen from Magnet Preston, expecting a professional design, supply and installation service. The installation began in February 2026. It is now September and I still do not have a completed kitchen. This has gone far beyond normal snagging. From the beginning I raised concerns about the design and installation, particularly Wall 2, where the finished kitchen did not utilise the available wall space as I had expected from Magnet’s design. I raised this immediately and asked for work to stop while it was investigated. There were then numerous other problems with the installation. Eventually an independent inspection was carried out and the dispute went to the Furniture & Home Improvement Ombudsman (FHIO). The Ombudsman’s final decision identified 16 areas resulting from substandard workmanship. Magnet is required under the outcome to carry out the remedial items, replace my damaged fridge and proceed with further work to the worktops. Compensation is also to be addressed following completion of the works. Despite all of that, I am still having to chase Magnet simply to get the remedial process moving. I have emailed Magnet three times attempting to progress matters and have received no response. Emails have subsequently been rejected by their system. I therefore called Magnet Customer Service and was told that their email system is down and customers currently have to communicate by telephone or post. I asked to speak to the person handling my case and was told it was Laura. After being put on hold, I was told she wasn’t available and would call me back. I also requested her Magnet email address because, after everything that has happened, I want proper written traceability and accountability. They would not provide it. The finance side has made the experience even more stressful. Magnet and Novuna have referred to the potential impact on my credit and the possibility of a CCJ in relation to payments, yet more than seven months after installation began, Magnet still expects payment for a kitchen I have not received in a completed and satisfactory condition. I am also currently chasing Novuna about delaying the finance payments while the kitchen remains unfinished and am waiting for a promised callback. The amount of my own time this has consumed is ridiculous. I have had to deal with Magnet Preston, Customer Care, fitters, inspections, Novuna, the Ombudsman, emails, telephone calls and evidence simply to try to get the kitchen I originally paid for. I have now agreed to allow Magnet to complete the remedial works following the FHIO decision because I want my home and my time back. Yet I am still the one having to chase everyone to make that happen. This situation has caused months of unnecessary stress and disruption to my life. I have an important professional course and examination approaching and should be concentrating on studying, not continuing to spend my time pursuing a kitchen dispute that began in February. I will update this review if and when Magnet finally completes the kitchen and resolves the matter. But based on my experience so far with Magnet Preston, the installation and the subsequent customer care, I cannot recommend them.

  Hi everyone. Had appointment about our kitchen a couple weeks back. Such w bad experience, the woman was so rude and helpless. We are about to do our kitchen for a first time so we would appreciate some advices, specially that this kitchens are so expensive. No help at all, very arrogant women, Chinese I think she was. We was so upset after this appointment. Do not recommend it at all ! We decided to do our kitchen with different brand. Very helpful and friendly, they did everything what we asked for. If I could I will give zero stars.
