Wren Kitchens
Inverness Retail Park Eastfield Way,, Inverness, Inverness-shire
Our experience with Wren Kitchens has unfortunately been disappointing, however the quality of the product is there. This review is not a product problem, The issue is the process that and communication needs improvement.
After months of planning around an agreed installation date, we were informed at relatively short notice that the installation would be delayed by several weeks. This caused significant disruption to our family, especially as we had arranged time off work, family travel, and preparations within our home based on the original schedule.
Communication from the Inverness store was often inconsistent, and at times it felt difficult to get clear information or updates regarding what was happening we would have to ring daily. We also found ourselves in the challenging position of having to store a full kitchen in our home for an extended period due to the installation delay, despite raising concerns about the lack of available space. Or what we were later informed of a better plan that could’ve been put into place by rejecting delivery even though you will be fined by contract we could’ve received the payment back and got the kitchen delivered closer to the new fitter dates. Which we were not aware was an option.
The delay and uncertainty ultimately led us to arrange our own installers in an effort to complete the project sooner. While delays can happen, the overall handling of the situation left us feeling frustrated and unsupported.
That said, I do want to highlight Taylor from the Customer Care Team, who has been by far the standout person throughout this experience. Taylor has been professional, responsive, understanding, and genuinely committed to helping us find solutions wherever possible. His communication and customer service have been excellent and are the main reason we have felt listened to during a very stressful process. He is a real credit to his team and to Wren as a company, and I hope his efforts are recognised and actioned appropriately by management.
I would also like to thank Laura for her help during the design stage and Steve for remaining polite and helpful whenever updates were available.
Unfortunately, despite the efforts of these individuals, our overall experience with the Inverness store has fallen well below the standard we expected. I hope Wren reviews the communication processes, and has future plans in place for last minute drop outs regarding fitting especially. But most importantly they need to learn from Taylor, to be forward and explain all avenues and issues whether good or bad so customers can make a more educated decision and understand what is actually going on and what the issues are. Hopefully these points can be actioned so that future customers have a smoother experience.

Extremely disappointed with the service we have received from Wren Kitchens.
Our kitchen installation was agreed for 1st June months ago, yet with only a week and a half’s notice we were suddenly informed that the installation could no longer go ahead on the agreed date and has now been delayed by several weeks. After months of planning everything around this date, the inconvenience, disruption, and stress this has caused has been enormous.
We are currently living without proper kitchen facilities in preparation for the installation and are now left completely in limbo. To make matters worse, family members spent money travelling to Scotland to support us during the installation period and booked annual leave from work, all of which now feels completely wasted because Wren failed to honour the agreed installation date.
Communication and customer service throughout this situation have been extremely poor. My husband is serving overseas with the Armed Forces and is not always able to access his phone. My number was provided as a secondary contact, yet despite this, there were numerous occasions where Wren failed to contact me directly regarding important updates. This lack of communication has only added to what was already a highly stressful situation.
On one occasion, my husband returned a missed call within two minutes, only to be told that the person handling our case was no longer available because she was “back to back”. When customers are spending thousands of pounds on a kitchen and are suddenly faced with significant delays, you would expect a much higher level of communication and customer care.
We also made it very clear that, due to limited space in our home, we no longer wanted the kitchen delivered until closer to the revised installation date. Despite the delay being caused by Wren, we were informed that we would be charged if we refused delivery. We are now expected to store an entire kitchen in our home for over a month, leaving us unable to properly use parts of our own house. Even more concerning is that we could be held responsible for any items that become damaged, lost, or broken during this period, despite repeatedly explaining that we do not have the space to safely store a full kitchen for such an extended length of time.
As a result of the delay, we have now had to source and arrange our own installers in an attempt to get our kitchen fitted sooner. Not only has this situation delayed our installation, but it has also left me living with an entire kitchen stored in my living room for weeks on end. The stress, disruption, and uncertainty this has caused our family has been overwhelming.
Even the delivery driver expressed surprise that we were expected to store an entire kitchen for more than a month under these circumstances, which speaks volumes about how unreasonable this situation is.
I do, however, want to acknowledge the individuals who have tried to help. Laura was absolutely fantastic throughout the design process and made the experience at the beginning exciting and enjoyable. Her professionalism, knowledge, and support were excellent throughout. Steve also did his best to keep us updated whenever he could and remained polite, professional, and understanding, even when we were understandably extremely frustrated by the situation.
Unfortunately, despite the efforts of Laura and Steve, this does not make up for the overall lack of organisation, communication, and customer care we have experienced from Wren as a company.
After months of waiting, planning, and rearranging our lives around this installation, this entire experience has been incredibly frustrating, stressful, and wholly unacceptable.

We purchased a kitchen from Wren and the customer relations in store during design and sales were great, not pushing for a sale or contacting you repeatedly like some other companies.
The kitchen was delivered on time. There was a minor scratch on one unit which through the wren app a new door was sent out hassle free the following day. The quality of the kitchen units and appliances are great and so easy to build.
We purchased flooring from Wren which when shown in store was different from what was delivered in terms of quality but not appearance. A year down the line we had issues with the flooring so contacted Wren who put us onto flooring manufacturer as they “no longer dealt with them” which was a pain as our contract was with Wren.
The refer a friend scheme was given to my father by myself who then purchased a kitchen and neither of us have received any money despite an email trail going back over 9 months and countless calls to chase up, it’s not a huge sum of money however this is about principal.
I have given Wren a 2 start review as the pre-sale customer service was great and the build quality of the kitchen is great with an easy to use app. Wrens after care in customer service lacks massively, one bit of advice to anyone purchasing would be to not purchase flooring as I have spoken with multiple people who have had same flooring issues. Purchase flooring from a company who will warranty their work and not try pass it off to 3rd Party.
To summarise I would use wren again but ensure I purchase only units from them and all appliances sourced directly from manufactures.
