- CAcarly andersonDec 8, 20205.0I do not usually leave reviews however Mac at your Andover Branch made my day, week, month and year today. It costs nothing in this world to be kind and helpful and Mac was exactly this. I called him this morning explaining to him my dilemma where I suffered a water leak in my kitchen which has since been discontinued. I informed Mac, the Ruislip depot had searched for this one item I needed to restore my kitchen and Andover was showing 3 of this stock (Andover is over 1 hours drive from my home town). I did not wish to travel all this way to Andover and find the item not available or infact a wrong match since the item had been renamed. Mac informed me the item was reserved for another customer and I felt concerned I would never be able to restore my kitchen however he had taken my number down and thought out the box, he checked with the customer who reserved the items and called me back to let me know the customer no longer needed all 3 items and 1 was available. I can not tell you my relief. I’ve tried many many stores and eBay and was beginning to think my kitchen was ruined forever. Much to my satisfaction, I arrived just after 12 noon today and have collected the item I so desperately needed and I’m frilled to be seeing an end to my mini saga and the idea of having a restored kitchen just in time for Christmas. If Mac had not thought on his feet and took down my number and pursued my request, I would not be able to fix my kitchen. It is customer service skills like this and a great attitude that makes all the difference to customers like me. Mac not only helped me with sourcing my item but also helped me to decide on other features in my kitchen, overall making my experience of Howden’s a memberoble one. I wish Mac all the best for Christmas and New Years and hope he receives the recognition he deserves for displaying fantastic interpersonal skills and being an all around Howden’s gem.
