  I cannot recommend Magnet Kitchens, especially the Hastings branch. The service has been extremely disappointing from start to finish. The designer made errors with the measurements, resulting in cabinets that left no space at all for our washing machine — a fundamental mistake. We also received a different sink to what we ordered; instead of fitting under the worktop, it sits on top, and there was no allowance made for under-cabinet lighting despite being shown on the plans. When I raised these issues, the attitude from the Hastings branch was rude and unhelpful. Sadly, Head Office were exactly the same — dismissive, refused to acknowledge the problems, and rejected my complaint outright. It feels like they only care about their own interests, not their customers. If you're considering Magnet, please think carefully. It's been a stressful, costly experience that could have easily been avoided. I won't be using them again and cannot recommend them.

  Although design service was ok. Very late notification of appliance not being available from supplier. In fact only two days notice before delivery of kitchen. Offer to source replacement with no further follow up call or email. Had to go to showroom to chase. Ended up cancelling appliance order. Three weeks on still not been reimbursed for the appliance, despite their policy stating refunds within 10 working days (much longer than other companies’ policies). Additionally incorrect measurements by designer resulted in me having to replace another appliance which did not fit in space designed to house it. While a received an acceptable service prior to issues arising I am very unhappy with their ability to resolve issues. Also did not appreciate sales person asking directly for a five star review.

  From start to finish there was support and skilled advice. We were looked after by Jenna and Tim superbly and also charmed by the stores team. Magnet has always and will always be my first choice for quality kitchens and much more. For quality service and product take my word Magnet Hastings will give you that.

  The staff here are mostly pretty good and dealt with issues quite effectively and efficiently. That being said, Magnet really needs to supply better thought out products. Missing parts and, on occasion misinformation, led to some delays and confusion.
