  I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with Greg F since the end of Jan this year and had my final appointment for my new kitchen today. Greg was calm and knowledgable and I’ve come away feeling I’ve got a great deal. I simply can’t wait to see the final product. Highly recommend Greg as your designer, he was prompt, efficient and very funny. He also has the patience of a Saint as my mum and I probably drove him mad over the 3 appointments. Thanks again Greg! I will update this review once the kitchen is installed in a few months to show end result🙂

  A month after our Wren kitchen was delivered it's finally done. If you are contemplating sourcing a kitchen from Wren, here are some aspects of the way they do business that you should bear in mind before you sign up. 1) Their furniture is OK. Not great, but OK. No better or different from Howdens or Magnet. But at the list price they quote it's way over priced. Hence the almost permanent "sales" and "promotions" to bring it back to a level that won't make you fall of your perch. And those offers that are about to end so you don't want to miss them? Well they're still there next week. 2) Their showrooms are comprehensive, well laid out and enable you to get a reasonable idea of what a new kitchen might look like. This is all part of the slippery slope designed to get you to buy a kitchen. Those big showrooms and all those staff have to be paid for somehow - and that is the sale of the kitchens. So whilst Wren "looks" like a kitchen company, it is underneath the surface a highly managed and pressured sales machine. All the designers have sales targets. If you don't go ahead, they will be on your case. So go in with a cool head and a clear objective (and budget). 3) They will offer you their installation services. Refuse. It makes it all sound very tempting but look carefully. It's what is called a "dry" fit so that means only furniture installation. No electrics or plumbing - all of these are extra. There is almost no such thing as a problem free installation. Something always surprises you. So just think about what happens if mid-way through your project, you find that the services in your house need to be amended. Also be aware that of the fee Wren quotes you, only 30% goes to the installer so if you need more unforeseen work, that won't be covered. And the installer will not be motivated to do so as he's not making the money you think he is. Having now installed 3 kitchens in the last 12 years, the single biggest factor in it all working the way you want, is the installer. If you don't know who it is, and they haven't been to your house, you are heading for trouble. Installers know all the things that can go wrong and so will improve your design to take those into account. Our recent experience with Wren showed us that the designer didn't know enough about key practical aspects of what we wanted to point out a few apparently minor issues that ended up being major problems. Their own people didn't know what products they offered and the technical data on their website is inconsistent and confusing, so don't rely on it. 4) The contract. You will have to sign one. YOU MUST read and understand every single word of it and challenge anything you don't know before you put your name to it. There is NO wriggle room. Wren will hold you to everything and anything they can to push liability back to you. Even when they verbally admit you have a point, they will still hit you hard with the contract to avoid any action or recompense on their part. 5) Customer Service - very patchy. They take a long time to respond and longer to send things out to you that are not right, broken or missing. You have to register with them otherwise you can't communicate. Overall, we've been very underwhelmed by the overall experience at Wren. And even though they acknowledged it was "not the journey they wanted us to have" they still did nothing to help. Including not reimbursing the cost of the cable to connect our hob which should have been supplied, but wasn't. A small amount but it still held up our installer for two days. At our cost. It's easy to be seduced by all the showroom glitz and fancy effects, but it's worthless if your kitchen installers can't make it work. I would find a good installer first, and then choose your kitchen. And if I could go back, I would NOT choose a Wren kitchen. And won't ever again, should that become necessary. The attitude and approach of Howdens is much easier to deal with.

  The kitchen is itself is extremely well made and met our specifications to increase our storage space. The only reason it is not 5 stars is due to the simple fact that we had one, albeit minor dispute, regarding the measurement of our American Fridge Freezer and the subsequent knock on effect to a facing panel.Thankfully this was resolved satisfactorily for all parties. I would definitely recommend Wren to friends and family, their build quality is excellent and I am very happy with the finished product.
