⭐ Very disappointing experience with Wren Kitchens – would not recommend
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Wren Kitchens. What should have been an exciting kitchen renovation has turned into months of frustration, chasing, and completely unnecessary stress.
Our experience started back in November 2025. The first designer came to us and we went through the design process three times to finalise everything. After that, we were waiting for answers regarding the final details — but heard absolutely nothing.
We started chasing Wren, only to be told that the designer had left the business. We were then given another designer. Unfortunately, the second designer appeared to have very little understanding of what was required and struggled with the design. We were told that the kitchen would have to be designed again and that somebody would need to come out and re-measure everything.
Once again, we waited. And waited. No updates, no communication, so we had to start chasing again.
Then we were told that the second designer had also left the business.
At this point, it was incredibly frustrating. A third designer eventually managed to get the design finalised.
Before the kitchen was delivered, we specifically asked three separate times whether the floor tiles were included and whether everything was OK with the order. On every occasion, we were assured that everything was fine.
The kitchen was eventually delivered. Some of it was stored in our garage and some inside the house for around six weeks.Due to other elayed obs. The delivery team delivered what they had, but nobody identified that the floor tiles were completely missing from the order.
When we were ready for the tiles to be fitted, we discovered that they had never been delivered.
I contacted the Wren branch in Peterborough and was told, essentially, “You need to contact Topps Tiles and chase them yourself.”
Excuse me?
We purchased the kitchen and tiles from Wren, paid Wren in full, and nobody had ever explained to us that we would have to deal with another company ourselves. If Wren had correctly placed the order with Topps Tiles in the first place, this situation would never have happened.
I contacted Wren customer service four times, and unfortunately received no meaningful help. In the end, Topps Tiles and my builders managed to resolve the issue.
The situation with the account and refund/payment is another major problem.
The account was set up through our builder, and we followed the entire process and paid everything in full from our personal account. We also overpaid by £800-900 We were told that the money would be returned within up to 25 working days.
Eight weeks later, after numerous chasers, we are still dealing with this.
We have been told by our builder that Wren has sent the money to them — but the money has not been returned to the account from which the payment was originally made.
What makes the situation even more frustrating is that Wren staff said they cannot discuss matters with us because of data protection, because the account is in the builder's name.
Interestingly, this did not seem to be a problem when they were happy to take our money.
I also contacted Sameer Halani directly by email and received no response whatsoever.
Overall, the biggest problem is the complete lack of communication, ownership and accountability.
Designers leaving without proper handover.
Having to repeatedly chase for updates.
Being passed from one person to another.
Being assured that the tiles were included when they weren't.
Being told to chase another company ourselves.
Poor customer service.
Aroud £900 overpayment that has still not been properly resolved after eight weeks.
And emails to senior management receiving no response.
For a company of Wren's size, this level of customer service is simply unacceptable.
The kitchen itself may eventually be fine, but the customer journey has been extremely poor and has caused us a huge amount of unnecessary stress and wasted time.
I would not recomend...
Very disappointed

Disgraceful service, fridge sold to us has broken within 3 years in a 7 grand kitchen, now Wren/CDA want hundreds to fix it. We initially recommended Wren to everyone and were told by John we would recieve payment for these, still awaiting the payments you promise after months of customers purchasing 7 grand plus kitchens!! Phone operators about as knowledgeable as a plank of wood, told us we wouldnt be paying for anything except call out charge as it's only 3 years old, now we've got to pay for everything, then they pass you over to every other company and their cat to deflect blame. You have left a 3 year old in this heatwave with no fridge or freezer. Partner is a tradesman and previously would encourage all customers to use Wren, but after the last 6 months will tell everyone with ears to stay away from you and use Howdens. Diabolical service

Update to this review - it goes from bad to worse - they've now attempted to fit the worktops twice and the first time the worktops didn't fit - now the upstands and windowsills don't fit and now they're saying the earliest they can send someone to measure it again is the 21st July (3 weeks away) then it takes 10 days to make them so another 4 weeks. We've had a building site for a kitchen for 4 weeks already and apparently another 4 weeks is totally acceptable (it absolutely isn't)
I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, DO NOT ORDER A KITCHEN FROM WREN.
Absolutely terrible, ordered a new kitchen in February and were promised a one stop shop where they would handle everything else that needs doing. Flooring/building/plastering etc.
Its all lies, they are only responsible for the dry fit. The tradespeople they recommend quoted 2x the price of anyone else and/or didn't turn up as promised and were rude.
Kitchen only started to be fitted first week of June (so not 4 weeks as stated on their website, 5 months)
The old kitchen was torn out and the new units put on the walls before repair plastering done (because their guy didnt turn up). Worktops attempted to be installed yesterday but don't fit, now told I have to get someone else out at my expense to sort out their mistake.
Designer (Sameer) had a cupboard floating in mid air so now cupboards dont line up. Not to mention cancelling/rearranging our installation date twice with no communication.
Been left with no kitchen for nearly 3 weeks now.
Avoid like the plague unless you just want constant stress and having to constantly chase people up for a response/date they don't stick to, showroom are only interested until they have your money and then palm you off onto head office and they all just regurgitate the line that wren are only responsible for the dry fit, none of the supplementary work even though their fitter recommends them. One stop shop it certainly isn't, don't fall for it. Go elsewhere.
Quality of product and service do not match the premium prices charged.

Very disappointing
Both in store and Head office
Kitchen cabinets not measured correctly following a visit to our home ! Then to be told that we had missed the snagging window and had to pay for an additional cabinet although they could do this at trade price.
When it came to fitting the work tops same scenario!
Two visits to the showroom to try and sort this out , to be told this is a head office issue and nothing they can do in store.
Called head office , to be told this a store issue and they should take some responsibility….
Whilst the quality of the cabinets are very good their customer care leaves a lot to be desired .
Anyone thinking of upgrading their kitchen with wren , please check , check and double check upon delivery.
This is the current status of our kitchen whilst we wait for additional work top and Cabinets that has cost an extra £700 in total due to poor service …
But let’s not forget they have done us a favour and ONLY charged us at trade price.
