  As a real estate broker with over 25 years of experience in the Atlanta market, I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience warrants transparency. My client experienced unnecessary complications from the beginning due to poor communication between the lender, onsite sales team, and construction staff. Marcus Burton was the exception and was excellent to work with, but overall there appeared to be little coordination or urgency in resolving issues, which made the process far more difficult than it should have been. The regional manager, was not only unprofessional, but given his position, I expected a much higher level of leadership, accountability, and customer service. Unfortunately, that standard was not demonstrated, and at no point did it feel like my client’s best interests were being prioritized. Even after closing, the issues continued. My client went nearly two weeks without internet service due to incomplete infrastructure, was unable to receive postal mail, experienced plumbing issues, and contractors continued using her power source during construction which increased her utility bill. Construction debris was repeatedly left around the property during ongoing work, leaving the home looking unsightly and impacting the homeowner’s ability to comfortably enjoy and entertain in her new home. My client acted in good faith throughout the process and consistently communicated through the proper channels in an effort to resolve these concerns. Unfortunately, despite those efforts, the issues remain unresolved and she remains dissatisfied with the outcome. As someone who regularly represents buyers in new construction, I understand that challenges can arise. However, communication, professionalism, and follow-through are critical, and unfortunately those standards were not met in this situation. Based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable referring clients to this builder. I rated this experience two stars, as the one positive aspect of the transaction was the lender, Eric Montgomery, who handled the loan very professionally and demonstrated excellent communication and follow-through throughout the process.

  I had an amazing experience from start to finish! I initially reached out through the DRB website, and Anthony Brown contacted me right away and helped get my tour scheduled quickly and smoothly. When I arrived, Marcus Burton gave me my tour, and he was absolutely outstanding. He was very outgoing, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. Within just 5 minutes of showing me the Austin Model, I already felt confident in my decision. He made the entire process feel easy and exciting. Thank you both for such a seamless and welcoming experience — I truly appreciate it!

  If I could leave zero stars, I would. I strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing a home from DRB Homes to do extensive research first. My husband and I purchased what we believed was our dream home in early 2025. Unfortunately, it has turned into a very frustrating experience in less than a year of living here. To begin with, dealing with the HOA has been difficult. It took nearly three months just to get approval to build a fence. More concerning, however, are the construction quality issues that became noticeable after living in the home for a few months. The kitchen flooring had to be repaired, and there are visible cracks in the crown molding. These are not issues you expect in a newly built home. The home warranty process has been equally disappointing. One stair tread had a small hole that took weeks to be addressed. There is another tread with a similar defect, yet the warranty department is now refusing to fix it. My husband escalated the issue to Joshua Schmidt, the manager over the warranty department, but we were told they would not be repairing it. To be clear, these holes were not caused by damage from use—they appear to be product or installation defects. The cost to repair the tread would likely be minimal, yet the company has chosen not to stand behind its work. Based on our experience, we would not purchase another home from DRB Homes.

  I had a great experience working with Marcus while touring a new construction townhome. He was knowledgeable, patient, and took the time to answer all of my questions without ever making me feel rushed. He explained the process clearly and made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. I truly appreciated his professionalism and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new home. DRB Homes is at the top of my list now.
