Responding to the “response from James Livingston”. Um, #1. It wasn’t the gutters you sent someone to check on, but the drain pipe. You said it was clogged and debris was removed, however, we never saw what was removed. I was home all day and the man never came to me about anything being clogged. Additionally, “if” that was the problem, why did it continue to happen. We are now in the springtime, no leaves to deal with (by the way, we do have gutter guards), and we’re still having to use a sump pump when we have a hard or continuous rain. I’ll post every time it rains if necessary to prove my point. I’ll even photograph gutters and downspouts……whatever it takes. #2, it took another person from another firm that recommended you to come out and explain to you the drawing and how it was done incorrectly. He even had to draw the additional turnaround on the concrete with chalk to show you how it was supposed to be done, as he was there the first time we met with you. #3. The main issue……..you didn’t follow up with your “subs” to make sure they were doing it right. We had no way of knowing if it was done right or not until it was completed. James, you know the truth. You know I told the truth and had pictures to document. If a one time clog caused the problem, why is it still happening every time. Please accept responsibility and do the right thing.
Review for Georgia Paving/James Livingston, employee:
This company may be a good company over all. However, here’s my story. We paid 25K plus to have a turn around area for our driveway. The man we dealt with from Georgia Paving was James Livingston. We signed a contract with Mr. Livingston and then only saw him a couple times during the time the job was being done, and that was when we saw a problem. The men working on the job (as it turns out was actually “sub-contracted by Mr. Livingston) unbeknownst to us. Again, our contract was with him and Georgia Paving. The complete job was a disaster and still is. The concrete that was removed allowed them to totally mess up the drainage and the drain pipe was replaced with a smaller pipe. The first big rain we had afterwards totally flooded our basement. We called him back. It was then that he said it wasn’t his problem but the other guys and it was then that we found out it had been sub-contracted out. The people who did it had no company per se of their own and couldn’t be sued. So we went to Georgia paving who wouldn’t take responsibility for their employees actions either. Saying it was between him and us. This is what we deal with now with every hard rain. We have to put a sump pump in the large drain. I have pictures of this. We also had to have an ugly cement base put around the front of our house to help with the water issue. James is irresponsible, and untrustworthy. Don’t use Georgia Paving because they will NOT stand up for the clients.
