So I have had a fantastic experience working with him lately and receiving his generous advice on how to diagnose systems, understand the reasoning behind certain HVAC behaviors, and walk through complex scenarios. Here are the details of my experience: Bruce is very data-driven. He knows the science and engineering behind HVAC systems inside and out. Other technicians I have spoken with would “guess,” “feel,” or “ballpark,” but Bruce goes straight to the specifications in technical manuals and pairs that with his own empirical data. That is rare to see, especially since many technicians must work under extreme time pressure to meet corporate expectations. Bruce gave me specific, data-driven diagnostic steps and went out of his way to explain why, for example, the TXV was the issue, and walked me through compounding factors like low and sticky head pressure to actually pinpoint the root cause. The best way I can describe his thoroughness is to think of him as the ChrisFix of HVAC. Everything is clearly and accurately explained! Bruce is also extremely patient and kind. He offered extended help even after his visit, walking me through things step by step. Despite being very busy (because he is in such high demand), he still took the time to send me procedures and advice. He is one of the rare ones who is truly committed to his work because of the passion and joy he derives from it.
