- JWJulia WalkerFeb 11, 20261.0In December 2025, I needed a boom lift. Aiken SC location didn't have one available for my dates, but the rep on the phone said I can get one in Augusta, GA. I am exempt from SC sales tax, and the rep said another state is not a problem. At the pick up, the associates copied my SCATE card to initiate the process, but "had" to charge me GA sales tax. At the drop off, I was assured I will get a refund, but it never happened. Beware of what they talk, don't get in the situation like mine.
- PCPaul ColeMar 23, 20233.0Ordered a Takeuchi mini x with a 18 inch bucket specifically a month in advance for a already planned out job. Day of delivery get a call from salesman that the only bucket they have is is 36 inches. This is hours before scheduled delivery . At this point I can't get another machine anywhere so I'm forced to take it. When it showed up not only did it have a 36 inch bucket but it wasn't even the machine that I had ordered a month in advance. Just be warned that united rentals doesn't come through with the machines that you specifically request and will send you whatever they have in the yard to make money. Very poor customer service and a way to do business.
