The AC in our office went out over the weekend. Jesse came and serviced our AC. Within an hour he was able to diagnose the issue and fix the AC's motor. Had a great experience and definitely will call them for any future AC issues.

Let me tell you something, and I say this with total confidence: Chain of Lakes Refrigeration & Air Conditioning is one of the best local service companies I have ever dealt with. Truly. Outstanding. And believe me, I’ve dealt with a lot of service companies over the years. Some are good, some are terrible, and some… you wouldn’t let them fix a toaster. But these people? They were excellent.
Here’s what happened. My air conditioner stopped working. Completely. It wasn’t one of those little “maybe it’s cooling, maybe it isn’t” situations. No. It was not cooling. The house was warming up. You know the feeling. The system is running but you’re getting that lukewarm, disappointing air, and you start thinking, “Great. This is going to be a nightmare.”
So I call Chain of Lakes. And I’m thinking, ok, how long is this going to take? Are they going to show up next week? Are they going to send me into some giant automated phone tree? Are they going to give me the runaround?
Nope. They were fast. They came out quickly. Very responsive, which today is practically unheard of.
The technician shows up, very professional, very competent. No nonsense. No wandering around looking confused. No staring at the unit like it’s a UFO. He gets right into it and diagnoses the issue properly.
And what was it? Not a massive catastrophe. Not “you need a whole new system.” Not “this is going to be $9,000.” None of that ridiculous stuff.
It was a capacitor.
And after replacing it, the AC came back online and started cooling again like it should. Which, frankly, is what you want in life. That cold air starts flowing again and suddenly civilization feels stable once more.
Now here’s the part I really respected, because this is where the good companies separate themselves from the mediocre ones.
He didn’t just swap the capacitor and sprint away. He went through the system and checked all of the other components. A real inspection. A real professional evaluation. He’s looking at everything. He’s verifying the system is operating correctly. He’s making sure nothing else is failing. That is what you call competence. That’s thoroughness. That’s professionalism.
And let’s talk about pricing and honesty, because this is huge.
There were no extra charges. No surprise fees. No “service package upgrade.” No “special labor adjustment.” No “because we showed up, it’s $400 just to breathe the air in your driveway.”
Just the facts. Just fair pricing. Just straightforward service.
If I were to summarize this experience in a “chart,” it would look something like this:
Speed of service: Extremely high
Professionalism: Very high
Pricing: Reasonable
Upselling nonsense: Zero
Cooling restored: 100% success rate
Customer satisfaction: Off the charts
And yes, I’m being dramatic, but I’m also being accurate.
You want to know what you’re getting with Chain of Lakes? You’re getting local people who actually care. They live here. They work here. They have a reputation. They’re accountable. They’re not some faceless corporate outfit that sends whoever is available and then invoices you like you’re a government contract.
I am a strong believer in hiring local companies to work on my equipment. I don’t want some out-of-town operation that doesn’t care. I want someone who stands behind their work, who will pick up the phone, and who has a real connection to the community.
That is Chain of Lakes.
Fast service, fair pricing, professional technician, and the AC was restored quickly and correctly. If you need AC service, call them. Don’t waste your time with the rest.
Highly recommended. Tremendous company.

It makes all the difference between great and good service, to have a "Hometown" man start his own business, and watch him develop into a Great Caring Company.
Jessie took his time, explained as he went through our repair. Definitely will be using Chain Of Lakes RAC for all our AC and Refrigeration needs!
Top notch!
