- MRMadeline RobinsonJan 1, 20265.0Thanks so much to @Anclote Heating and Air for coming to the rescue! Yesterday when I got home from work, the AC was not working. We have a contract with a big name AC company that comes out every 6 months to check the system. Every time they come out, they try to sell me a new unit (this one is struggling and you should replace it before the busy season), duct cleaning or something else. I definitely was not calling them for a repair on New Year’s eve! So I put on a sweatshirt and pulled out Lonnie’s T-shirt quilt to watch the ball drop. Decided to give in today and asked Chat GPT who was the most honest AC company in the area that would not pressure an upsell. Long story short, Anclote Air was suggested . Their tech, Justin was here within an hour, went in the attic for about 45 minutes and fixed it. Then only charged $75 (on New Year’s Day). Also said no need for a new unit! They have a new customer! Thanks, Anclote Air!
