NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN!!!! I never give bad reviews, but this has to be said before someone else gets ripped off. We had JB install new flooring in our home. During the install they found some slab moisture under the flooring they were replacing. At first, they didn’t think it wasn't an issue at the time, because the moisture dried up as soon as they removed some of the old planks. But my wife was very concerned. I wasn’t really at first, just because I trusted that they knew their job. They said they’ve seen it before and assured us it was nothing to worry about, so I trusted that. But my wife still wasn’t convinced, and she tried to stop the job in the middle of the install, but I eventually talked her out of it because I thought I could trust them. I called the manager anyway just to be sure, and they told me if the moisture dries up when you uncover it, you know that it’s not a leak or anything major, and that it is just ground/slab moisture. I even have a voicemail of him stating that. Well, less than a year after install, we started to find issues with the flooring at the seams. Then I started seeing the seams start to break making it a tripping hazard in certain areas. There was one area that started showing the most damage, so they sent their installers out to fix it. When they pulled up the planks to be fixed, they found mold and damage to the rubber connections at the seams of the planks. There was also a lot of moisture again. These were the same installers that said it shouldn’t be a problem on the first install, but now after seeing how quickly the planks were damaged, they now all of the sudden believe that it is a problem. They immediately called the manager to explain the situation. The manager told them to go ahead and fix it for now anyway, and they would send the owner to come take a look at it in a few days. But I thought to myself, if they fix all the visible issues today, what will the owner even see when he gets here? He won’t see any problems at all, which he didn’t. He ended up coming out and telling me they would call me. The never did, I haad to call them and leave messages, they weren’t responding for weeks and I was pretty sure they blew me off. They finally came and replaced the one section and they put down plastic sheets underneath the vinyl planks to attempt to help with the moisture issue. At least they tried, but then they said (after already repairing the other sections of the house) the best way to fix this would be to seal the cement slab underneath, but at this point it’s too late for that. If that was mentioned to us back when my wife tried to stop the job when we first brought this moisture problem to their attention during the first install, we might have been able to do something about it back then. So, now the problem my wife brought up that they assured us wouldn’t be a problem, they are now admitting is a problem. The other parts of the house are already showing signs of the same issues. We understand that the excessive ground moisture isn’t their problem, but what I have a problem with is, they knew at the time of the original install that we had heavy slab/ground moisture, but they never gave us the option of sealing the floor then, they just kept saying it was nothing to worry about. I’m not trying to be unreasonable, but I feel like they hoped it would last long enough to be out of warranty, and they were right. I just want reliable flooring that we were promised from the beginning that we paid thousands of dollars for, nothing else. I just want to not have to tape down several areas of my house, so the flooring doesn’t bend up and cause tripping hazards. But they can’t seem to provide that, so if they really wanted to fix this problem and make it right, they would just give us our money back, that’s all we want, so we can get the flooring fixed and make it correct and safe. I don’t think that is an unreasonable ask, but honestly I’m not holding my breath. Now we’re stuck with floors that we trip on throughout our home. We will NEVER do business with them again.
