We had our old fence removed and replaced with Bay Area Fencing. From the first phone call to them Derek was extremely communicative and efficient. He listened to our concerns and the final product was done perfectly. The process was smooth and we can’t say enough about how pleased we were.

Derek and his team were quick and efficient. He met me after hours for the initial estimate then got me on the calendar for the actual job quickly. He and Samantha were very communicative during the whole process. I’m very happy with how the fence looks!

Bay Area Fencing installed a white vinyl fence for us at the end of 2023. We were concerned about their installation process of pouring concrete dust into the holes dug for the posts with no prior mixing but were assured this was the way ‘all fence companies’ installed and that at least 50lbs of concrete would surround each post, with at least 75lbs surrounding the corner posts, as outlined in our contract. It looked great at first glance until about 2-weeks later when a few 50mph wind gusts blew an entire portion of our fence down. The team did come back to fix this, making jokes about how 50mph wind is no joke (even though our fence is supposed to sustain 100+mph wind- per our contract). In the wake of Hurricane Milton (which was not even a direct hit to our area), our fence sustained significant damage, which was not a surprise. Out of consideration for the devastation experienced by the entire SWFL area, we waited about a week to reach out to the company to schedule repairs. I inquired via text, as we had primarily communicated this way in the past, and received no response. Over the last several MONTHS, I have reached out via text, phone call, left voicemails, and sent emails with not a single response provided by the company to 1. Discuss what is/is not covered under warranty or 2. Set up a time to schedule repairs we would have been more than happy to pay for, offering the company a chance to redeem themselves. At a complete loss and disappointed by the total lack of customer service offered by Bay Area Fencing, we spent hundreds of dollars purchasing concrete and the supplies needed to fix the fence ourselves. While digging out each individual post to pour in the MIXED concrete, we were shocked by the total absence of concrete supporting the posts. More than half of the posts had large gaps present between the post and the minimal amount of concrete found in the holes, barely providing any support, and we were able to dig around a handful of the posts to find NO evidence of concrete at all. We didn’t find a single post with evidence of anywhere near 50lbs of set concrete, let alone the 75lbs supposedly poured in each corner. It’s a wonder our fence has stood for as long as it has and we are thankful at this point we were unable to reach the company, as we no longer trust the repair job would have been worth the expense. This company was recommended to us by a friend of a friend, and I am sorry to say I would never recommend them to anyone I know. Not only did the installation not support the specs outlined in our contract, but the poor quality combined with the total lack of customer service has left us completely and utterly disappointed with Bay Area Fencing.
