  If you are looking for the best lighting company in the area, look no further! Eric has completed several residential lighting projects for me and has consistently exceeded my expectations. He is professional, detail-oriented, responsive, honest and extremely friendly. I have been extremely with the quality of his work and will continue to work with him on all future projects.   One night we drove in from dinner out, and our new neighbors’ home looked breathtakingly beautiful lit up against the night sky. It wasn’t simply that they had added landscape lighting. Their home looked almost like a piece of art. From that point on, I dreamed about how our house would look. It was a process, but suffice it to say that Eric Holmes came down and demonstrated what he would do for us. We could not be happier. He is an artist and he is highly professional.

  Eric Holmes has to be one of the most professional, kind, and helpful people I know. I shopped around through several different lighting companies who would come out and let me know what type of light they would use and where, but they never did the demo. My wife and I set up an appointment for Eric to have a demonstration around our home. He had the lighting set up before we knew it. Both of our jaws dropped at how meticulous of an eye Eric had. He had a vision before even starting and when it came to recommendations, he was spot on with everything. I will continue to send anyone I know to him. Outstanding service!

  I was interested in outdoor lighting so I did some homework to understand the different vendors in the Tampa Bay market. I read many reviews and invited three top vendors out for a quote. Vendor #1 came out and explained what they do, why they’re great and let me handle the lighting equipment. Vendor #1 explained how many lights they would install and the locations. I was given a slick marketing packet, a price and when the work could be done. I had no idea what the actual lighting design would look like but overall it was a good experience. Vendor #2 came out next - took some pictures and briefly explained approximately where lights would go. No marketing materials provided, no product to show, no pricing. I was told a design and pricing would be coming but never received anything. Vendor #3 came out last, it was Eric at American Outdoor Lighting. The appointment was in the evening which I thought was strange until I understood why. Eric was going to do a lighting demo. I expected to see a product presentation of the lights carried but Eric’s demo blew me away. Using temporary extension cords, Eric wired up the entire front of the house with lights! Not only could I see the lighting product, I got to see it in action on MY home. That was extremely powerful. Eric was then able to provide a detailed quote right on the spot with a smart phone app on his phone. I rarely award business on the first visit but there was no doubt, American Outdoor Lighting was the right vendor for our project. A few weeks later Eric showed up with his crew and performed the install. Their attention to detail with lighting position and ability to hide wires is truly amazing. The end result was just like the demonstration, just an installed version. I can’t say enough about the finished product but have to give Eric a lot of the credit. He made the entire experience very comfortable. Eric is really knowledgeable about lighting, extremely credible (how many sales people are on the job doing the work too) and communicates often in a friendly way to keep you informed about the project.
