We contacted Discount Awnings and had Whitman Hillier visit our ranch-style house on September 12th, 2025, to provide a quote for a simple fixed awning. With 35 years of experience, he assured us that he had seen it all. He discussed the project with us to understand our needs, took measurements, and promised to send us the provisional quote the following week. However, since then, we have heard nothing. I followed up with the company twice, and each time I spoke to Whitman. He mentioned that they were busy and had issues with quoting but assured me they would work on it that night and get back to me the next day. Yet, there has still been no response! What am I missing here? If the job is too small, too difficult, or if they simply do not want it, wouldn't it be more professional to at least inform us of their thoughts?
- JJJonelleOct 9, 20255.0Absolutely love our awnings! We actually purchased them to keep the rain off of our outdoor bar area and they are perfect. In fact, they didn’t budge during Hurricane Milton last year!! The Sunbrella fabric is top quality. Highly recommend Discount Awnings!
- KEKent EnglandSep 30, 20255.0These guys did a Fantastic job on our awning about 3 years ago. I mean spectacular. Unfortunately Milton tore up our screen cage but the awning stayed locked into cage and all in one piece. I have pictures of the awning sitting on our roof. It stayed where it was supposed to and I could see they used stainless steel rods to keep it in place. It was the base of the cage that failed. So I would say Discount is in the price alone. The work and material is top of the line.
