- VVVKKV VKKVMar 27, 20263.0My husband and I did the stay & share. We flew in PBI and taxied to Valencia, arriving at 11:30am at front desk. The first commentary from the front desk “ you’re really early check in is at 2:30”…. I responded only flight to get here. Then comes a team member and also welcomes us by saying ”you’re early don’t know what you’re going to do-just walk around look at the models and kill some time. Needless, to say customer service training and welcoming inservice is a MUST. Shocked that they are not prepared for retirees flying in… a welcome itinerary would be helpful. Now to the property itself …. Very beautiful, nice amount of amenities with additional programs that are private pay.The property and the local town shuts down at 9pm (a negative for us) we enjoy an evening cocktail. The number 1 reason it’s not for us is the taxes! More than my home ( which is triple the size of what we were considering AND I’m a mile from the ocean). The pitch it’s only 2% here BUT it’s based on the inflated price you pay (ridiculous). 2nd reason not for us 40min ride to beach. Make sure to ask about EVERYTHING should something unforeseen happen while you’re building…. The answer was shocking. Beautiful place well kept but expensive for cookie cutter homes on every manicured street.
