My experience trying to help my mom—who has been paying Panhandle Elevators $600 a year for over a decade as a loyal customer—to get her elevator working properly has been abysmal. Calls are not returned, repair teams fail to show up and when they do show up, they fail to do their jobs. On the exceedingly rare occasion when you do get someone on the phone, they blatantly lie to you (I'm talking to you, Bethany.) For my mother, the elevator in her home is a matter of safety. Her health literally depends on it. Getting into an elevator that repeatedly does not work is frightening. But dealing with the unscrupulous management and employees at Panhandle is downright disheartening. I guess down here, they have no competition. It's the only explanation for how such a mismanaged company could continue to exist. Run, don't walk, away from this outfit before they spend years taking your money and show you nothing but disrespect and contempt.
