  I’ve known Unique Flooring for several years now and have completed multiple projects with them over time. Nelson and his team have always been very professional, punctual, and consistent in delivering high-quality installations. Communication is always clear and easy, which makes the entire process smooth and efficient. It’s rare to find a company that combines reliability, craftsmanship, and great customer service the way they do.   It has been an absolute pleasure working with Nelson from the moment I stopped by the showroom. He was so friendly and helpful as I made my selection with my new flooring. I was so happy to support local and he really made sure this project was perfect! Jay and Charlie did such an incredible job on the installation, truly one of the nicest jobs anyone has ever done on our house (and we’ve had a lot of work done which makes their craftsmanship stand out even more). I highly recommend Unique Flooring for your project and I’m looking forward to working with Nelson again on upcoming home renovations!

  Unique Flooring and Design did a fantastic job replacing old linoleum with modern tile flooring in our laundry room, adjoining hallway and three bathrooms. Owner Nelson Carballea is very much a professional gentleman. He listened skillfully to our needs and desires and customized a strategy to accommodate our goals. Seeing the beautiful tile products available in his store encouraged us to dust off an 11-year old project and consider doing business with his company. He allowed us to take tile samples home for review and never pressured us to commit a purchase. The entire process from beginning to end pleasantly exceeded expectations. We scheduled an estimate, which he personally accomplished and returned with a very reasonable offer. Scheduling was easy and quick; materials and installers were available within a week. Our prep was minimal, because installers (led by Yasnioby R.) removed and replaced washer, dryer and toilets with care and precision. Installation was expert and professional; tile layout was well planned and level throughout, even securing the “squeaky” upstairs subfloor before laying the tile. Installers were very respectful of our home and “worked clean” never leaving us feeling like we were in the middle of a construction zone. The project has been transformative; it renewed and amplified the beauty of those spaces. We are estactic about the outcome and grateful for meeting Nelson Carballea with whom we enjoyed doing business. We highly recommend Unique Flooring and Design to anyone thinking of repairing or upgrading flooring, especially tile.

  Nelson Carballea, owner of Unique Flooring & Design, in Oviedo, is one of the most honest and conscientious business owners I have ever dealt with. When he came to do his final measurements for the new carpeting I had chosen at his store, he did something astonishing. Rather than try to sell me new carpet and padding, he told me that my existing carpet was in great shape and just needed stretching where it had bunched up (due to poor quality installation and carpet cleaning in previous years). His honesty amazed me and he even recommended a professional contact (Dwain Avalos, owner of East Coast Flooring and Installations, Winter Springs), to do the job. Not only did Nelson save me hundreds of dollars, but he impressed me as an ethical businessman with a great deal of knowledge, experience and integrity. I would not hesitate to do business with Nelson in the future and can highly recommend him for your next flooring project.
