- CBCandie BarrettOct 30, 20251.0Disappointed - We purchased a new 3.5 Ton Trane Split System and was sold a DRY system. Had to add 9.9 lbs of this new gas at almost $600 a jug for 20 lbs..... We immediately called to explain what we had come across only to be offered $75 off a new jug of Freon and a store credit of $200 but only to be used towards the purchase of equipment; all due to a manufacturer issue.... we should not have to continue to come out of pocket for something we have already paid for and did not receive. Additionally, We should not have to guarantee these supply houses a certain amount of sales every year to get better pricing or higher seer equipment.
