  This company is slower than death ! They want the trash outside by 5:30 am and in the meantime I’m chasing every cat and crow in Marion County away from it . Every time you call them it’s always the same excuse “We’re short a driver”. They are absolutely the worst ! But that’s ok because the longer they take, the more I put out .

  I waited quite a while before writing this review. There have been up's and down's with this company. I do not have a choice in the matter with using them as they are the contracted provider for the community that I reside. With that said, sometimes the service is not so bad. Thus they get two stars rather than one. To be fair to them, they are not one star poor. But more often than not, service is bad enough that I probably would investigate other possible options if I had the option. Yes this may sound trivial to some, but it annoys me to no end. For some reason, our driver cannot place the cans back where they were picked them up from. Quite often, I see cans (not just mine, but the neighbors also) on their side or back and even pretty much in the road. All the while the truck just drives away and it seems like the driver could care less. My can is basically moved from where I (and everyone else on my side of the street) chooses to place their cans, to be moved to either the center of my driveway or the exact opposite side. Both of these spots are either directly or indirectly in the way for my needs. As such, I (as the other) choose the less of the two evils, side. The driver picks up the can and has the can in his claw, dumps the can and then moves the truck to place the can elsewhere. This cannot be by accident. I prefer the side that is visible both from the house and not in our blind spot in the car and partially in the way while turning. Yet, our driver feels the need to move the can almost every time , be it trash or recycle day. Then there's times where a broke down box or two are a little too large to have sticking way out of the recycle can. So I place them along side of the can. I watched the driver just leave them in the driveway, as he emptied the recycle can and moved it to the other side of the driveway. To be fair to the driver, most of the time, he will take them, even though it does require him to leave the trucks cab. This is extra work for him and I do appreciate it when he does this. So it's rare that he doesn't take them. But it's happened more than once. I have had more than once that my trash was not emptied at all. The loose fitting bag or two were just as I left them. But at least he didn't move the can :) I can only figure that either the driver is under such a crushing schedule that it forces such treatment of the customers by rushing and not making sure the can dumps into the truck, and/or moves the truck while placing the can on the ground for the same reason or maybe he just doesn't care. Either way it is more often than not that I am picking up our or a neighbors can off the ground or out of the road. What happened to the days when people and companies took pride in the job and service they provided. So either Florida Express Environmental isn't concerned with quality, or our driver just isn't. Either way it seems like the "Express" in the name tells the story. Fast (or maximum profit) over a quality service, seems to be Florida Express Environmental's concern. Either way, I'm kind of held hostage since they are contracted and there seems to be no recourse. You can call and complain. But if they do answer, they apparently do not address this with our driver. Maybe it's a hard to find workers issue?

  This company is likes to take money from you. They Supposedly charge quarterly whether you have their services or not and if you decide to start back up after 2 months of no service they won’t prorate you plus charge you a late fee. Where did I agree to this if there is no contract. Better to go somewhere where else don’t waste you time or energy on them. Reviews are everything my friend. Don’t take my word try it out for your self’s if y’all want but you will be disappointed. I would be willing to bring up rating if they fix their policy or whatever you call that thievery. I hope everyone can stand against them and sue if possible.

  Have always been responsive on the phone, rates are reasonable, and the men on the truck friendly. No problems! I recommend this company for your household garbage pickup! I wish they brought back recycling but not many companies can do it anymore.
