I have never in my life, been treated so poorly in a business like I was when I walked into Naples armature. I barely made it into the door, and the guy is shouting no, no, no I am not working on that. I said you worked on it several years ago and you did a really good job fixing it. He said no I am not working on it. I have worked on hundreds of those (Only a few people in town would have this piece of equipment) I said to him, I think it’s just the bearings. He was absolutely nasty about it. He said I can work on it. I’ll charge you $1000 how’s that? And I said well I don’t want to pay $1000 they’re only worth about two or $300. And once again he says I am not working on it. Maybe because I am a woman and he doesn’t like women. I don’t know what the problem was. I own a small business and I would never in my life treat somebody the way this man treated me. It’s hard to believe the Positive comments on this business. And I also wonder why he is not recognized by the BBB.

It is unfortunate that this company has no competition in town thus making them the only place locally for consumers to buy parts for motors and pool pumps. My pool pump capacitor failed after 4 1/2 years of use and I went to Naples Armature Works for a replacement capacitor. The new capacitor lasted 3 months so I purchased another one from them which lasted 2 months. When I went back to their shop, I had asked why these capacitors keep failing and was told that my motor was the problem or I had a power surge which would have caused the capacitors to fail. I then purchased my third capacitor from them in less than 6 months ($18 each time) and that capacitor lasted exactly two weeks. I then had my motor checked out thoroughly and no other issues were found to be at fault. They offered me no refund and no replacement part for the third time.3 capacitors, 3 failures, $56, I was told " sorry we don't warranty any electronic parts". The capacitors I purchased from Naples Armature Works were smaller in size than the original factory one and after doing research online and getting a recommendation from A.O. Smith, the manufacturer, I found a capacitor that was the correct size for my motor and also came with a one year warranty. My pump has run flawlessly with the new capacitor I installed and purchased online at a cost of $25. I found the brand and size capacitor that Naples Armature Works sold to me for less than $5 each in my online search. I have no problem with how much they marked them up in price, but with the fact that they will sell you junk and offer no warranty or refund for defective parts is just plain wrong. I went there since they are the only game in town for replacement motor parts and I wanted my pool pump running again ASAP, but now I will buy my replacement parts online and wait a few days to get them which is better than waisting time and money from this junk dealer
