Five stars isn’t enough! This company has always come through for me and my house has three units! One of the units is on the garage ceiling. David, my technician, was prompt, engaging and knowledgeable. He showed me before and after pics of the work he did for me. He recommendations that were appropriate. I have used this company for years and have never had an issue with their pricing and knowledge. There is no hard upsell. They really focus on what’s good for the home. Thank you so much for being a great company and employing amazing employees! Tracy

A tech came to my house, went into my attic, and told me I had “growth” on and potentially in my ductwork. He then explained that the stuff that is there we are potentially breathing in. He then immediately tried to sell me a $16,000 duct reconstruction package. I asked for time to think and to get a second opinion, and instead received a pushy sales pitch asking what they could do to “close this deal out.” The next day I received five calls from their AI service desk asking if I was ready to move forward.
I had two other companies come out and do thorough inspections. Both said I was being sold services I didn’t need — the “growth” was just surface residue common in attics that an experienced tech would have recommended wiping clean. Rather than a simple fix, I was offered an entire reconstruction with payment plans of $200+ a month for 10 years. The technicians were personable and kind, but if I hadn’t gotten other opinions, I would have wasted a lot of money.

I was experiencing an issue with my AC unit and called for a same-day service technician to review and troubleshoot the issue. Upon arrival, Cody was able to quickly diagnose the issue and he was extremely knowledgeable on the various components that were causing the issue. He provided me with all of the details of the steps he took while reviewing the unit and next steps regarding manufacture warranty for replacement parts that are needed as part of the repair. Very professional.
I had a very disappointing experience with Mid-FLA Heating & Air and would not recommend them.
The technician was arrogant and, more importantly, gave me information that turned out to be misleading. I was told there are fines from the EPA for using the current refrigerant and that it would cost more because of that. After getting a second opinion, I learned that’s simply not true—there are no fines for using it, and other companies are still installing and servicing units with it without any extra charges.
I was also quoted $700 just to check for a leak, which another company told me is typically included as part of a service plan. Instead, I ended up paying nearly $900 for a capacitor replacement (which was under warranty) and refrigerant.
On top of that, I had an active service plan with Mid-FLA Heating & Air. They hadn’t come out since April of last year and never contacted me to schedule service. When I brought it up, they insisted my husband must have received calls to set something up—but he answers every phone call (which is annoyingly true), and he never received anything from them. So essentially, we paid for a service plan that was never actually used.
They then tried to say the plan was expired and attempted to charge me higher, non-member pricing until I pulled up my credit card statement to prove it was still active. Even then, it didn’t seem to matter.
Overall, I felt misled, overcharged, and treated poorly. I won’t be using them again.
