  Absolutely recommend American Shutter Works. This morning they installed Hurricane rated shutters on my deck known as a Cool Deck. Previously we had to install individual shutters which was a real pain staking task for hurricane preparation..not any more. Tim Jenkins quoted us the install and materials and based on the recommendations from others we moved forward. Andrew and Nick, the installers, were beyond what I expected. Professional, knowledgeable and precise is the only way to describe their workmanship. I am more than pleased with the outcome. Fabulous job done by this company and the shutters added an aesthetic functionality and ease to my life and home. Thank you again and continued success.

  Ridiculous! Be careful using this company! They came to the house before Milton to fix the automatic shutters so we could have them down. One guy came and he started working and he said he had none of his tools and left. He stated the owner said they would honor the price due to this techs mistake. Post hurricane two guys came out to fix the problem. They got to work and started trying to get one of the shutters fixed. While doing this they got one shutter down. However during their visit something happened and thief was a loud pop coming from outside and all of the lights in the house started acting wonky. The techs came in the house and said they needed to shut the breaker off. They came inside, did not turn the breaker off and then they walked out and bolted out. We have 9 shutter, two are currently up. The guys left with the other 7 down still and did not say a word. The owner called after and he told us the techs did not trust us and said that we were lying about what took place and on top of that he told us that every single motor needs replaced and it would be $450 a motor. The latest message I got was “ Your accusations this morning on the phone was insulting. This latest is ridiculous and impossible. I scheduled my crew to preform the task you requested. I will not deal with anyone that I cannot trust.” They are now no longer answering any text or responses and we have 7 shutters that are currently down and electrical issues in the whole house that did not exist prior to the work they started and did not finish.

  We had American Shutters put up accordion shutters on our house in April 2020. The first time we had to use them was Hurricane Ian. When we went to close a shutter on one of the windows during the actual storm, we noticed one side was too short to close. We called Tim, who came to our house within 30 min., looked at the issue and agreed the shutter was too short. He apologized for the problem, saying his guys should have found this during the initial installation. He said that he would be out the following week to add an extra blade to the short shutter. This morning, he sent one of his people out to add the blade. We can't say how impressed we were with the excellent customer service that Tim provided. With this kind of customer attention, follow up and follow thru, why would anyone consider going with another company. Thanks Tim! We're totally ready for the next storm!

  American Shutter Works installed my shutters during the building of my home. Everything was nicely marked and placed in the garage and they left me a screwdriver bit for the loosening and tightening of the bolts when installing the shutters. First time that has ever happened. But what really sets them apart is their customer service. When I had an epoxy coating on my lanai, I pulled the bolts from the floor so they would not be coated and the flakes got in and I was unable to clear all the flakes and the bolts would not go back in properly. I called the owner and he sent one of his men out and he made some corrections and replaced a couple of parts and everything is as good as new. I offered to pay for the repair but he declined to accept payment. How many companies do you know that would send a man out on a service call and not charge you?! It was a very small job to him but I am selling my home and the repair had to be done. It was a VERY big deal to me! Thanks Tim. You have my sincerest appreciation and recommendation to anyone needing shutters for their home. CALL AMERICAN SHUTTER WORKS!
