  Google will only allow a small fraction of the letters I need to write to give this horrific builder as awful of a review as they deserve. ZERO stars. Maybe I can break it up into multiple posts. Here is a breakdown of what I have had to deal with as a result of Richmond American Homes. And there were a couple of things I let slide on top of the following. Get your popcorn ready. Guest bathroom: 1) Countertop - I could scratch it with my fingernail. They said that was normal. 2) Mirror - It was damaged while the electrician was using power tools to do another repair above it. They said that wasn't covered under the mirror warranty. 3) 2 sinks - The porcelain was scratched. 4) 2 faucets - One was installed in chrome & the other brushed nickel, on the same double vanity. The other was damaged during the removal of the countertop. 5) Toilet seat - There was a chunk taken out of the side while they were scraping red paint off of it. 6) Toilet handle - It was beige plastic on a white toilet, with the other in the house having a metal one. 7) Bathtub - The base was kicked in, so they had to rig it with plastic molding because I didn't want the whole thing ripped out of the wall. There were also rust stains on the tub and red stains on the shower tile & caulking. 8) Tile - 6 were replaced due to cracks and/or defective finish. 9) Exhaust fan - It was installed incorrectly, making it noisy & crooked. 10) Light fixture - One above the sink was 14" off center, with the other fixture centered above the sink in the double vanity. 11) Ceiling - A piece fell off in front of the toilet. 12) Honorable mention - No towel rack or toilet paper holder, as are included with the home. And cement on the drywall. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Master bathroom: 1) Door - It took SIX visits to get it functioning properly. After installing the wrong door to begin with. A clear glass door from the bedroom to the toilet...? 2) Molding - Installed missing 1" x 6" trim around door frame. 3) Tile - Replaced the same cracked one twice. 4) Countertop - I could scratch it with my fingernail, they said that was normal. 5) Mirror - It was damaged while the electrician was using power tools to do another repair above it. They said that wasn't covered under the mirror warranty. 6) 2 sinks - The porcelain was scratched. 7) 1 faucet - Damaged while removing countertop. 8) 2 base cabinets - Were bulging out in a V shape due to too much foam sprayed behind them. 9) 2 electrical socket covers cracked. 10) Shower - Drain cover would not stay in place. 11) Toilet - Had to be removed due to construction debris clogging the drains throughout the whole house. 12) Light fixtures - 2 different color decorative screws on same fixture. 13) Light switch - It popped the breaker every time it was turned on. 14) Exhaust fan - It was installed incorrectly, making it noisy & crooked. 15) Honorable mention - No towel rack or toilet paper holder, as are included with the home. And cement on the drywall. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Office: 1) Window screen - Holes. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Guest room: 1) Window - Scratched. 2) Window screen - Tears. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Laundry room: 1) Dryer - Was dented. 2) Wall damage - I just installed cabinets to cover it up. 3) Air handler closet - Sand was covering the inside as if someone took a bucket and dumped it in there. I HAVE THE COMPLETE BREAKDOWN OF EACH ROOM THAT I WILL TRY TO GET IN THIS REVIEW.

  I had the opportunity to buy my first home in April 2025, but this was the result of finding this great builder who offered me the best rates in the entire area and really good prices. Since December 2024, I've been interested in buying my first home, but I didn't know what the whole process would be like. I looked at many houses, different builders, and ridiculously high interest rates, but then, thankfully, I met the great team at Richmond American Homes. My first impression was with Mrs. Julie M. A very professional lady, who showed me different properties, but we didn't have the opportunity to find the ideal home for me, due to my geographic location needs at the time. Several days went by, and I continued searching, but my search didn't reveal a single builder who could offer me anything truly good like Richmond American Homes. I took the opportunity to go to the Scenic Terrace community at Lake Hamilton, FL. Going there was magical because there I met Mrs. Mary Latuszek, a very professional and charismatic woman, an amazing representative from this construction company who showed me the house where I live today. From the moment I saw that house, I knew it was the house of my dreams: a house with high ceilings, white finishes, a spacious yard, and, most importantly, a very low interest rate that would allow me to make my monthly payments without having to be squeezed at the end of the month. When I started the purchase process, after introducing them to my real estate agent, Robert Sage, the entire process was extremely fast. In less than 30 days, I had the keys to my home in my hands. But I must admit that all of this was quick thanks to the great team that works for the construction company, including the sales representative, Mary Latuszek, Jamil Ortiz the loan officer, Carolina Alvarez the loan processor, and Andy the contractor in charge of the construction details. They all did an excellent job with me, and I admire their work. You made my experience as a first-time buyer simple, easy, fast, and secure. At no point in the process did I feel alone; everyone did an extraordinary job, along with my real estate agent, Robert. Thank you for your effort and dedication to building high-quality properties and for your excellent customer service. Thank you.
