- DDDmailNov 7, 20221.0Back in November of 2021, I called Gulf Coast Insulation (GCI) to get a quote for a job to apply closed cell Insulation to a couple buildings on my property. I met with Thomas of GCI at my property to look over the job. Thomas informed me that my to metal buildings were to low to insulate underneath, but that if I were able to raise them to the required height, then he'd be able to do the job. I had a few real concerns about raising the buildings (health issues, upcoming surgery, personal danger involved in lifting all that weight, the danger the the structure and its contents, raising the buildings would rendered them useless for my wife and daughter since the doors would be to high for them to open). I expressed these concerns to Thomas, but I asked him that if I were to raise them, would he do the job asap. He assured me that he'd get me on the schedule just a quick as he could once I raised the height. The following day he sent me the quote via email, which I agreed to, and requested to be put on the schedule asap as we discussed, and that the buildings had been raised. Time went by, and each time I would contact Thomas, there was always an excuse for why he couldn't get to my job. During the months that would pass, I heard less and less from him, to the point that he stopped responding to me altogether. It is now November of 2022. A year has passed by since I've first contacted Gulf Coast Insulation. I don't hear from Thomas anymore, and I've been stuck with two buildings that have been out of use for my family because they're just too high to open for them. I've also had to forgo a much needed surgical procedure because the buildings are not done. This has been a terrible experience and has caused many problems for my family and I. I trusted Thomas and Gulf Coast Insulation and they let me down. If you need an Insulation job done, you should probably find someone else who will keep their word.
