  My parents are octogenarians - and in this area there is unfortunately a large number of dishonest people that are happy to take advantage of this population. My parents were quoted well over 5 TIMES the amount from other electricians in the area. Smith's charged us more than fairly, and they were very understanding of my parents situation. We dealt with an extremely polite and professional gentleman by the name of Charles who went above and beyond to make sure that my parents felt comfortable with what he was doing and what they were being charged for. In the end, the job got done, and he took some extra time with us to make sure that everything was safe and that my elderly and confused parents were happy with his work. Honestly, as someone who lives 5 hours away from my folks, I couldn't ask for a more trustworthy person to be there for my folks when I can't - let alone provide high quality work. The attention to detail is important - his work required that a hole was left - not part of job to do yard work. But he still covered the hole and informed me so that my parents would be safe. At the end of the day, contractors and techs are always going to have folks complaining about them. But when the rubber hits the road, what matters is if they are transparent about their pricing and the EMPATHY they employ when getting the job done. People matter - and Smith's demonstrates that while their expertise is in electrical work, they specialize in putting people first.
