  A prior company left us seriously let down after they ghosted us and the bank, broke promises on time lines they guaranteed, and told us there was nothing they could really do to get installed sooner. We were under a tight end-of-year deadline and feeling pretty stressed and frustrated as my trust with the previous company had been broken. I called a few solar places and it was either an immediate no, not the panels we were looking for, or way too much. I connected with Ross at SolarTech Elec via a recommendation from a neighbor and he immediately put us at ease with his honesty, transparency, and clear communication. He took the time to thoroughly communicate during the process after he had explained pricing, equipment options, and realistic expectations in timelines, which made a huge difference after our prior experience elsewhere. Even with the possibility that installation might not happen before year-end, Ross and his team worked efficiently and kept us informed throughout the entire process. We were thrilled when everything came together and the system was successfully installed prior to year end surpassing our expectations! The panels were exactly what we wanted, and the quality of work was professional and excellent. VASTLY different experience than we had with elsewhere and I am so pleased with Ross and his team! This was an important investment for our future, and SolarTech Elec truly delivered. Our system is performing beautifully and I couldn’t be happier with it all! Ross and his team went above and beyond with their professionalism, reliability, and customer care. I would highly recommend them and would absolutely choose them again.   This has been an ongoing and very frustrating experience, and the situation is still not resolved. Initial installation: The installer originally routed the electrical conduit across my neighbor’s roof, without authorization from the neighbor or approval from the HOA. This routing crossed property boundaries and should never have been done. I am attaching an image showing the original conduit installed on a neighboring property’s roof. Once this was reported, it took over a month of repeated requests for the company to return, with the explanation consistently being that they were too busy. During this time, the improper installation remained in place. When they finally came back to correct the issue, the outcome was even worse. Despite confirming in writing that they would perform a pre-site visit and analysis before remediation, neither the pre-visit nor a proper planning step took place. The crew arrived without a verified routing plan and began improvising on site. Instead of using the standard internal routing path used in identical townhomes, they opened multiple interior walls and drilled through structural elements of my staircase to force a vertical wiring path that is not standard for this floorplan. This happened even though a neighbor with the same layout )who is also an electrician) clearly explained how the correct routing is normally done. As a result: - Interior walls were opened unnecessarily - Structural elements of the stairs were drilled - Finished surfaces were damaged - Wiring was routed through a disputed, non-standard path The system may technically function, but the execution has been careless and unprofessional. While it has only been a few days since the last intervention and I understand repairs may not be immediate, there has been no proper follow-up or clear remediation plan, despite the installation currently leaving open walls, exposed areas, and potentially unsafe conditions. The routing approach is still under dispute, and the work should not have been left in its current state. This project is not finished, interior damage remains unrepaired, and communication has been poor at every stage. I am attaching photos to document the current condition. I strongly recommend that anyone considering this company demand a documented routing plan and a proper pre-site analysis before allowing any interior work to begin.

  Extremely pleased with our solar panel / whole home backup system designed & delivered by Solar Tech Elec. A good amount of research upfront allowed us to know what we wanted in general and to ask the right questions about our system during the process of interviewing several companies. Sorting through all the “5-star, best service, most experienced staff, broadest warranty” companies and promises was the hardest part. We ended up choosing Ross Dyson & company because he was the only person to quote the specific types of equipment we were interested in, his pricing was very competitive, and is as easy to communicate with as he is courteous. We signed with Solar Tech Elec while they were extremely busy due to the ending of the solar tax credit this year, however Ross kept his team on schedule and delivered on time as promised. Echoing many of the other customers giving strong reviews, Ross places a personal premium on customer satisfaction and his installation team is very dedicated and professional – they installed a 25 panel, 10.5 KW system with 2 batteries in one (very long) day. Solar Tech Elec handles all the administrative duties (e.g. notice of commencement, permit application, etc.) as well as any interactions with the county (inspection) and power company (permission to operate, metering). For the most part, what I consider as a home owner to be a very non-trivial installation, the work proceeded smoothly and exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend Ross & Solar Tech Elec.

  I had an excellent experience with Solar Tech from start to finish. The entire process was smooth, professional, and well organized. The team was knowledgeable, transparent, and always willing to answer my questions. A special thank you to the Daniel who worked on this project with me —he was punctual, respectful, and extremely knowledgeable . He took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure the work was done perfectly. It’s rare to find someone who takes such pride in their work. I highly recommend this company to anyone considering solar. Great service, great people, and outstanding results!

  We did a lot of research. I got quotes with around 20 diff companies. Everyone offered the “best product”. Most companies I came to realize were working as a reseller for a larger company who’d take over my business once they got me signed up. I had already signed an agreement and then I found Solar Tech Elec while browsing on Facebook. Ross right upfront was front and center throughout my sales pitch, coordination of the job, install and follow up. I first interacted with him in August and got our install done in early November mostly because I wasn’t available for the install date. Ross was patient and a half with me as I came up with over 20+ questions over the course of several weeks.i swore he was gonna send me on my way at some point. Never did he lose his temper or made me feel my concerns or need were pointless or unfounded. He did educate me on several things i was not well informed on. He kept things at my level, which i appreciated as i did become very well educated on these systems through my process. Installation was smooth. The electrician he sent over, Rafael was extremely professional. They do use contractors, but it seems like it’s a crew he knows well. It took 2 days for the job to be completed. They put the PowerWalls mounted on the wall at the electrical panel’s height as I requested for a cleaner look. So far, 1.5 months in no issues on my roof as of yet. The one time I had issues with the system Ross answered, I followed some instructions on Tesla’s app and fixed my issue. I have yet to see how it will go over time, but my impression is that Ross will be responsible for his work. Know that Ross is your point of contact for everything. This is how he ensures his work is maintained up to a certain standard. He is very proud and sometimes even a bit too much, which at times felt a bit braggy. He did come through with a very clean job. There were times we had different views, particularly because I wanted a specific type of panel which he did not have in stock. He was extremely gracious about it and even when he disagreed he put up with my concerns and ordered the setup I wanted at a very reasonable slight increase in my cost, which I assumed happily. Despite this his quote best every other one I had some even by over 20k. They take care of all the arrangements and paperwork that the Electric Company will need to get you your PTO letter. There were some issues with this part of the process as the electric company claimed they didn’t get the information from Solar Tech Elec. I simply forwarded all the paperwork Ross had CC’d me myself to them and that got things back on track. Ross and his team were on top of it, I just felt I wanted to make sure this step took place to ensure my credit. Anyone looking for a company who’d do clean work and allow you some input as to the kind of setup you want, I’d 1000% recommend Solar Tech Elec.
