  We stopped into Carpet King after our basement flooded and we had to rip up our flooring. We were greeted immediately by Steve, who was extremely patient with us as we went back and forth with deciding on what color flooring we wanted. Steve sent us home with some samples and continued being patient with us as we tried to figure out what color we liked best. When we finally decided on what we wanted, we contacted Steve and he got everything set up for us. Materials arrived quicker than we thought, and we got our install date picked out. The team was excellent with both the work they did and the communication throughout the day. We're so happy with the flooring and trim work that Steve's team completed, and would recommend Carpet King and Flooring to our friends and family with no hesitation.

  Carpet King installed a vinyl plank floor in my master bedroom, closet and hall. They did a great job using a Shaw product. The quality of work was superb, they showed up on time, moved and protected my furniture and cleaned when done. I highly recommend them for your flooring projects. I know why they are called Carpet King because the treat us, the consumer, like ROYALTY! Kudos to Steve, Steve Jr, Gilberto and Victor!

  I wanted to give my business to a mom & pop store instead of a big box or department store when I needed carpeting for my steps and landing in my house so I went to Carpet King. I was satisfied with the work (it was basic carpeting & padding) and price. So when it came time to buy an area rug I went back to Carpet King. After waiting around the Norwalk store for 30 min to be helped, I looked around myself and and found an area rug I liked. I finally had a salesperson help me and asked about the rug. It's 8'x10', black with a contemporary design at opposite corners. I really loved it. I bought it. Setting up delivery was a nightmare since they don't deliver on the weekend (what?!). Finally, I had an appt for between 9-12PM. They showed up at my door at 7:30 and I wasn't even up yet. Before they could come in I saw a tear in the padding. I refused delivery. Setting up delivery again was again a nightmare. Because they don't deliver on the weekends, and I work, and they only deliver during the day, it took weeks. Finally I got delivery, padding was fine. I loved the way it looked in my home. However, the carpet being black, shows every single speck of dust and anything else that might be on your feet or in the air. I called Carpet King after owning the carpet for 2 months and explained the problem. Their answer "oh yeah, black shows everything." I said "then why didn't the salesman point that out to me?" No answer. Can I exchange it? No, only within 3 days!!! I said "It's only me in the house. The carpet is still brand new. I don't want a refund, and I'll buy something else." No, they'd have to speak to the manager and call me back. I have never received a call back. If I bought this rug from a big box or department store I would have been able to return it with ease. This is why mom & pop stores are going out of business; bad customer service, non-disclosure of facts, poor sales help and terrible return policies. Needless to say I won't be returning to Carpet King...ever again.
