  Woke up to a 58 degree house...got a flashlight to go down and check the furnace and found 6 inches of water from a leaking pipe. Called FF Hitchcock and Brandy said we will try to get to you today. My insurance company had a company that could get here today but could not give a water gone time. Brandy got me set up for a late tech visit. Conor, awesome tech, from Hitchcock sent a text with his photo and about when he would be there. His arrival at 6:30 lasted only a short time and he actually had the part, (Burner motor) for my ancient furnace, on his truck. got the system fired up reviewed the whole system and was gone. Heat and hot water back, thanks to FF Hitchcock.

  Technician came to fix my boiler it didn' fire the 3 time's I tried. Told the tech. my problem and he started to test the igniter box. Told me I needed a new one. The next day he came back and installed new igniter box. Reset the stack relay switch and fired up the boiler it smoked out the whole cellar. He then proceeded to tell my wife that the boiler was old and not usable. The last thing he said on the way out the door was it runs but I don't want to run it because of the carbon dioxide reading and it was smoking. Called the next day to have him come back after I finished cleaning the boiler. The technician was on his way when I got a call from the manager and told me he was not coming that my furnace was no good and they couldn't fix it. ALSO she Said he took the safety switch with him so I couldn't run it. So I called someone else to come look at my boiler and when I explained he new exactly what was wrong with it.. didn't charge me a thing because it was a bird's nest at the top of the chimney. We also tested the old igniter box and it was good. So FF Hitchcock put part's on my boiler that I didn't need and charged me 9 hundred dollars and changed. Do not recommend using this company and management was very mean. Needed furnace running have my 85 year old mother in law living in my house with us PS rating is minus stars

  A huge thank you to F.F. Hitchcock for doing a great job on my whole house mechanical upgrade. I recently bought a new house in Plainville and they completed a new oil tank, electric panel upgrade, furnace and central air system. They were very professional and got the entire job done in 1 day. I had an issue with my system and they were able to provide me with 2 zones as I originally wanted. The owner directly corrected the issue and was very sympathetic with my concerns. I would 100% recommend them to a friend and look forward to continuing service with them for the years to come.

  I am so glad I called! For years I've been wondering where my heat goes all winter. Phil Brito and John Casner figured things out. They were so nice and very professional. I appreciate how they broke everything down to me without making me feel dumb. They could have just done their jobs and left, but that's not how they operate. They made sure everything was done right and that I understood everything they were doing. Even my dog was happy to have them doing the job. They paid her special attention both when they arrived and before leaving. Definitely the kind of men you want working for any company. So thankful for their visit!

  Had frozen baseboard heating element/pipes. The tech came with one 6ft piece of copper. I had several areas of frozen pipe. The yech located all the burst cut maybe a 1/2 inch more than the frozen point and patched the holes. After 5 holes were patched several more opened. Each patch was hundreds of dollars. One 6ft piece of pipe cost -about $40. At the end of it all the pipe kept opening in non patched locations. After $1500 in cost, it was recommended that I replace all the baseboard heaters. The heaters would cover around 650sq ft. Keep in mind one baseboard line of 8ft is about $96 at the supply house. The next day I received a quote from the manager stating they gave me a discount and to replace the baseboard lines would cost an estimated 33,276.00. I laughed and declined the estimate. In total the heating elements cost $600 to cover the area that needed replacing. They all also using the press tool which takes no time to use so labor would not be more than a couple of hours. I would never call this company again under any circumstances and as far as I am concerned they got away with $1500. Buyer beware! Do your research these reviews can be deceiving and you might get roped into a scam. I got the job done for about $1500 total with supplies and labor!
