*EDIT* Changed review from 1 to 3 stars. After the work was done (July 2025) I sent a polite email to Precise basically stating the same thing I say in the review below, but didn't get a response. Last week (Feb 2026) they texted me for a "Spring tune-up" marking campaign, and I texted back saying "No thank you [because bad experience, and nobody ever replied to my email]". That's what prompted me to post this review. Their rep Jobert got back to me a day later and asked me to re-send my email. Within 15 minutes he'd okayed a refund, validated my concerns, apologized, and said he hoped I'd consider them in the future. Totally non-confrontational, no blame or finger-pointing, just acknowledging the issue and making it right. I'm leaving the original review intact but changing my rating. Everyone makes mistakes but not everyone handles them well, and I think Precise deserves kudos for that. Original review: --- I called Precise HVAC to troubleshoot a burned relay on my furnace control board. I have a Spirit furnace with a Beckett burner. It's a 3-year-old system, but we had a bad experience with the original installer and no longer wanted them in our home. Remember: this is a new furnace, new exterior A/C unit, new condensate pump, all new ductwork, and new mains electrical controls. Precise came out, put a multimeter on the board, and told me - I'm paraphrasing - "The relay is definitely blown, but we're not sure why. We can't fix it because we don't like this brand and don't know where we'd get parts." They tried to pitch a $20k replacement. I said no thank you. A different company came out the next day, quickly identified the failed component causing the relay to blow, and had a replacement installed within 5 days. No issues 10 months later. If you're curious, the root cause was the blower motor. Poor QC or handling/installation damage had unbalanced it. The winding came loose and shorted, blowing the relay. I have some positive things to say about Precise. Their soft skills are good. Their photos of new work look clean and the people who hired them for new work look happy. Good for them! But I hired Precise to be furnace mechanics and they didn't want to be furnace mechanics. They wanted me to spend $20k on a new Fujitsu. When I bring my car to the shop for routine work, my mechanic doesn't try to sell me a new car. He fixes the problem, and he bills me for it. I wish I didn't have to leave a 1-star review, but that's $100 I could've spent on groceries. In retrospect I should've refused to pay.

Bought my home somewhat recently and this was my first time having someone out to work on it. Was having oil tank/furnace issues. Terry arrived to my appointment early, diagnosed the issue quickly and was very transparent about pricing. Ended up paying less than I was quoted for the repairs! Will definitely continue to use them for my annual service.

I'd give Precise 6 stars if I could. Our furnace failed just before the onset of a brutal cold spell. Needless to say, we needed to have it repaired quickly. After some preliminary research, I started to make some calls. From the moment the phone was answered, my experience with Precise was absolutely superb. The young lady who answered the phone was polite, understanding, and very helpful. The initial technician who showed up arrived on time and communicated what was wrong and next steps respectfully and clearly. The person sent out to discuss our options was again on time, very knowledgeable, understanding, and explained our options thoroughly. More importantly, we never felt like we were being pressured into spending any more than we were comfortable with. Thereafter, the technicians who showed up to do the installation were again on time, respectful and diligent, performing a clean install and leaving no trace when they left. When a follow up piece of work needed to be completed (new dampers), communication was again superb, and the technician showed up on time and completed the job quickly and cleanly. Without question one of the best service experiences I have ever had. Very highly recommended.

Very disappointed to have this company come in for a $99 diagnosis visit and then tell us our 8 year old furnace needed to be replaced. A salesman then came and told us for safety and efficiency we should purchase a new system for close to $20,000! Then said he was able to give us a discount. When told we’re going to get other opinions he asked if we’d share quotes. We said, “Absolutely not!” If you think you could offer a competitive deal, you’re not giving us ‘the best possible deal’ and we’re not feeling comfortable with this so called deal “. Another HVAC owner inspected our furnace and explained all aspects of its functions and safety issues and advised us our furnace did NOT need replacing nor repair at this time. We will not recommend any company that comes into an 82 year old man’s home and try to get him to buy a brand new expensive system. Had an immediate gut feeling of questionable trustworthiness. Glad I didn’t get taken.
