- GDG DNov 30, 20241.0I got referred to Acorn glass by some prior clients of theirs. But Acorn Glass really disappointed us. On 11-14-2024, we agreed with Acorn Glass to repair the glass on our front window. We agreed with the estimate and signed the contract for cost and repair. Paid the 50% deposit for it. On the agreed date of 11-19-2024. Missed work to be here for them. Never showed. Called them that day and was informed that it was on the 26th of November. Damn it!! Monday 11-25-2024 Justin left me a voice message stating they set to come over to the repair the following day. Awesome. On Tuesday the 26th, I get off work early to be here and move furniture again. They send a email a saying " We are going to have to order the glass because it might be 1/4" and not 1/8", What We already spoke about being 1/8" and now they're saying it might cost more. We were excited to get this work taken care of before Thanksgiving since we had family coming over. The owner was supposed to call us. But in reality, that person (owner) doesn't really care. Not even an attempt to make it right. He already has part of the money. I am going to post in BBB and Federal Trade Comission as well since Acorn Glass is in breach of contract. Think before you hand over your money to this company.
