  As a custom home builder, I was looking for a company that could provide me with a turnkey solution for my interior finishes, including cabinets, countertops, tile and flooring. On the surface, SDC provided all of that. However, once we got into working with these guys, it quickly became apparent that our vision was not being executed faithfully. We paid them a design fee, with the understanding that we would have initial designs for a custom kitchen - inclulding cabinets, tile, countertops, and plumbing fixtures - back within 4 weeks, plenty of time. That deadline passed, and we received no communications. I followed up, and they told me that no work had been done and they needed more time. We gave them 2 more weeks, and what we got back was uninspired, and lacked many of the details we had requested. On top of that, it seemed like the entire staff had been fired in that time, and a completely new group of people was interacting with us that had no idea what was going on with our project. The final straw for us, and the reason I am writing this review, came when I asked for a refund for the initial design deposit after the above had transpired. I sent them a respectful email laying out our concerns and asking for the refund. Not only did I not get ANY response acknowledging my issues, but they went behind my back and tried working directly with my client. Being that the project is a custom new build, the fact that they tried to cut the builder out of the project was not only odd and insulting, but indeed logistically impossible. I would avoid this group if I were anyone who was serious about their project.

  Multiple design issues. Did not listen to what I requested.Sandy is not very helpful or fun to be with. The only reason they got two stars is because Sioux is the best ever?.

  We renovated 5 bathrooms in our Breckenridge home, some from the 1970’s. The team at Summit Design Center was outstanding; they came with innovative design ideas and recommended an excellent contractor. Communication was timely, follow-up was outstanding and everyone was a pleasure to work with. We would highly recommend them for any project you have!

  For months, we searched high and low for help with remodeling two small bathrooms in Silverthorne. Anyone who has tried to remodel anything that's not a major major project in Summit County will know it's hard to get anyone's attention for smaller projects. But I found Summit Design Center and Sandy and Bryan right away offered an excellent package of design and contractor assistance. They helped me with everything from design (cabinet and tile drawings were especially helpful), to selecting materials and finishes. They were communicative and thoughtful in answering design questions. They worked with us on getting the best price for fixtures. Their showroom in Silverthorne was convenient for viewing and choosing colors, tile, and other materials. In the end, we got exactly what we wanted. Highly recommend Summit Design Center!
