Stucco Done Right LLC provides services for stucco resurfacing, repair, cracking, hail damage, discoloration, metal flashing, and water damage in Douglas County, CO.
I had many holes in the stucco side bands around the windows on the north side of my house. Stucco Done Right came out, gave me an estimate, and then provided a date for when the work would begin. They had a cancellation and were actually able to start the work early. The sales person, Alex Garcia, was very knowledgeable and professional and did a great job of monitoring the work and keeping me updated. The workers were excellent - they also were professional, courteous and knew what they were doing.
The job was completed on time and on budget. I would not hesitate to use Stucco Done Right again if I ever need stucco work in the future.

I am so pleased with their work! I had a patch job done on my stucco years ago and it did not age well. Every time I pulled in or out of the garage I saw it and it bothered me to no end. Alex and his team at Stucco Done Right did an amazing job resurfacing the stucco and the color match was perfect! Before and after pics.
Frequently Asked Questions About Stucco Done Right LLC
What are the primary types of stucco finishes, and which one is best suited for my home?
The primary types of stucco finishes include smooth, sand, dash, and texture coatings. Smooth finishes have a sleek, modern appearance, while sand and dash finishes provide a more textured, traditional look. The best finish depends on your personal style preferences, architectural design, and maintenance considerations. A professional can help you choose the most suitable finish for your home’s aesthetic and durability.
How long does a stucco installation typically last, and what maintenance is required?
When properly installed and maintained, stucco can last 50 years or more. Regular maintenance involves inspecting cracks, chips, or areas where the finish may be deteriorating, and keeping the surface clean. Occasional sealing and repairing minor cracks promptly can extend the life of the stucco.
Can stucco be applied over existing siding, and what preparations are necessary?
Yes, stucco can be applied over existing siding, such as wood, brick, or vinyl, but several preparatory steps are essential. The surface must be cleaned and repaired for any damage, and in some cases, a bonding agent or lath (wire mesh) may be added to ensure proper adhesion. A professional assessment is recommended to determine whether the existing surface is suitable.
Is stucco suitable for all climates, including Colorado’s weather conditions?
Stucco is versatile and can perform well in Colorado’s diverse climate when properly installed using appropriate materials and techniques. It provides good thermal insulation and can withstand freeze-thaw cycles when applied correctly. Proper ventilation and moisture barriers are essential to prevent issues such as cracking or moisture intrusion.
What are the cost factors involved in a stucco project?
Costs vary based on factors such as the size and complexity of the project, the type of stucco finish, surface preparation requirements, and labor rates. Additional expenses may include repairs to existing surfaces, moisture barriers, and customization details. Obtaining a detailed quote from a professional contractor will give the most accurate estimate.
How energy-efficient is stucco as an exterior wall finish?
Stucco provides good insulation qualities, especially when combined with insulation layers underneath. It helps keep homes cooler in summer and warmer in winter by reducing thermal transfer. Upgrading insulation during installation can significantly enhance overall energy efficiency.
What are the signs that my stucco needs repairs or maintenance?
Common signs include visible cracks, bubbling, chipping, staining, or surface deterioration. Water stains or mold growth may indicate moisture intrusion. Promptly addressing these issues can help prevent further damage and extend the lifespan of your stucco.
