If you're reading reviews about Allen Service, you are probably considering vital (and expensive!) home repairs -- I just wanted to share a few comments about our recent experience with them.
We are longtime customers of Allen Service, but mostly go for annual inspections of our HVAC systems -- this time, our furnace failed to start two days before Christmas. I called them at 6:00 AM, and by 10:30 AM, Technician Brandon Freed had completed a thorough inspection and diagnosis, along with options for going forward. We decided to replace the 16 year-old furnace, so our next Allen Service contact Comfort Advisor, Dakota, who came over within a couple of hours. As I recall, by about 5:00 PM, Dakota had assessed our house and furnace room, and we had decided on a new furnace and air conditioner. As we talked, Dakota had four electric space heaters delivered to the house, since scheduling an install the day before Christmas was not possible. Christmas 2025 moderate and unseasonably warm, but Allen Service helped us stay warm until the install could take place.
On Saturday, December 27, Installer Kevin Chavira showed-up and went to work. Given the holidays, he was working solo that day. I'm an old guy, but I've never seen any skilled professional work harder than Kevin Chavira that day, all to back-up what Allen Service told us: that they would have the new furnace up-and-running by Saturday night (the day before much colder weather arrived!). Kevin Chavira could do anything he wanted to do in this life -- his work ethic and intelligence make him a real asset to homeowners who get lucky when he shows up. Everyone is younger than me these days, but the effort it takes to dissemble & remove the furnace and accessories from a basement, remove & dissemble the air conditioner from the side of the house, then unload the two new, large appliances and install and set them in place was Herculean. Then, to load up the old equipment and clean-up, and leave with the furnace running? Phenomenal. Period.
Last call was for Allen Service was Electrician, Jared, to complete crucial electrical updates outside for the air conditioner service. Again, stellar work by another efficient Allen Service employee.
Hats-off to these technicians in the field for Allen Service. I am happy to write a positive review for them, as well, as for the Office staff (that I recall), Sean, Carrie, Hannah, and others -- they handled communications and updates flawlessly, keeping us apprised on arrival times, or other aspects of our project.
Apologies for the long post -- I do think that Fort Collins customers read these reviews, and I wanted to give a shout-out to this local company.

Incredibly thorough and explained everything! Great with our dogs as well. It’s hard to find people that are that customer focused as well as having the knowledge to fix and explain everything before completing the work. 10 out of 10, I wish I would have been home to meet and thank him. My wife was very nervous when the issue arose and it was handled with care and consideration.

Allen has been literally a life saver from the beginning! They were so fast at get back to us the first night we had water pouring out of our heating closet. They sent someone to us on a half an hour at 10 pm. From there they have taken care of all the issues, damage and even recommended someone for the repairs! I’m so thankful for their team!
I had an electrical emergency at my house on a Saturday, they couldn't come that Saturday they said they would come on a Sunday I knew I was going to pay extra but nobody showed up Sunday so I rescheduled for a Wednesday. Again waiting all day for the window and again no one showed up when I called to enquirer where the electrician was they said they had moved on to the next customer and I can reschedule in a week. This is my first time using Allen, I do not recommend them. I think they should change their name from Allen to "No shows". I give negative stars if they let me. I'll be sure and tell everybody I come in contact with what kind of experience I had with this company.

He performed a thorough, comprehensive diagnosis and took the time to explain exactly what he was seeing, even providing real-time visualization inside the unit. I never felt rushed or talked down to—just fully informed and supported during a stressful moment.
Next, Chance walked me through my options with an approach that was refreshingly unbiased and customer-focused. He listened closely to my priorities—quality, performance, and long-term reliability—and then thoughtfully advocated for solutions that aligned with what mattered most to me. I felt like he was on my side the entire time, helping me make a confident, well-informed decision rather than pushing a sale.
Installation day was no small task, especially given the extremely cold conditions, but Brandon and Brent were absolute pros. They handled the heavy lifting of removing the old unit and installing the new one with consistency, focus, and dedication. They worked tirelessly without cutting corners, staying until every single detail was complete. Beyond their technical skill, they were incredibly respectful of my home—wearing shoe covers, protecting my floors, and leaving everything spotless. Their teamwork, professionalism, and work ethic truly stood out.
After the installation, Sean provided excellent post-sale support, patiently answering all my questions about rebates and helping me understand how to maximize efficiency and cost savings with my new system. His guidance made the entire process feel seamless and stress-free.
Finally, Kevin C delivered what I can only describe as master-level craftsmanship. He calibrated my system with precision and addressed exposed, unpainted wall areas left from the thermostat upgrade. With an incredible eye for detail, he primed, color-matched, and feathered the paint so flawlessly that the wall looks better than it did originally—completely indistinguishable from the surrounding area. Kevin is super nice, easygoing, and has a true passion for his work. His can-do attitude and willingness to go the extra mile made a lasting impression.
