  Brian and his team did an excellent job refinishing our old wood floors and even worked some magic on the engineered hardwood that was in rough shape. Our floors feel brand new and have truly transformed our space. Not only was the work outstanding, but Brian was so great to work with. He’s personable and super knowledgeable about his work. The team that worked on our house, run by Selma, was equally amazing to work with. Selma helped me understand my options when it came to the stain we wanted. She was so patient and helped me arrive at the best decision and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. They really understand the different wood they are working with and how the stains will take to various conditions in our old house. All to say, we whole-heartedly recommend working with Brian at Vail Valley Hardwoods. We would use them again in a heartbeat, and thanks to them hopefully won’t have to for quite some time!

  I had my hardwood floors refinished. Brian gave me a great suggestion and it turned out better than I ever hoped. The cost was right in the range I had in mind before I got the estimate and that held through the project. It was completed in the timeline Brian committed to and my place was clean when I got back to it. Can't recommend them high enough.

  Brian and his team did an impeccable job putting in my floors. I would highly recommend them to do your next flooring job. He is reliable, efficient, fairly priced and truly takes pride in his work!! Don’t use anyone else for your next flooring job! Vail Valley Hardwood gets more than 5 stars!!

  We had such a great experience with Brian. The whole process was easy and seamless. Brian was a pleasure to work with. The price was reasonable and the work was outstanding! They took our floors from a dark stain back to natural. Brian said it would look great and he was right. We love our refinished floors!!

  Glad I didn't move forward with VVH. - A few weeks ago I awarded a refinishing job to VVH (and therefore declined another company's bid). We agreed to a tentative timetable, but then things started going bad. Initially we agreed on last week, then Brian moved it to this week without consultation and including the holiday which I immediately told him was not ok. After multiple back and forths and even offering to rush the job into two long days (again not ok with me as I didn't want a shoddy rushed job), he reluctantly agreed to do the job Tuesday-Thursday of this week. - Then last Friday he called and said how about instead we do Monday/Wednesday/Thursday? Despite the added inconvenience I agreed to that extended schedule and moved all the furniture out of the way to make their job easier. - And then (!) this Monday morning he just sends an email (not even the courtesy of a call) and simply says "We will need to come next week. I think the timing is too tight right now." Needless to say, someone else will be doing the job now, but now I have to restart the bidding process and move all the furniture back in the meantime. My review/recommendation is be very careful with Brian/VVH. Communication was difficult from day one (he doesn't answer his direct phone and sometimes takes days to respond to emails), and he doesn't seem to care about the inconveniences he causes. So my brief experience with VVH was very poor and I can only imagine what might have happened if we had actually done the job and had any issues.
