He did not stop what he was doing on the computer to greet me, nor did he even look or acknowledge I was there. Just said “someone will be with you soon.” 2 minutes of just standing there unattended to, the phone rang and that was his priority. No worries United Rentals…I’ll take my business elsewhere. I’m sure there are other companies that would love to earn my business. And at this point, it’s worth the drive. It’s sad that the his guy has to be the face of the company. This/he is what is representing the face of United Rentals. And to the plump, short, bald guy behind the counter…maybe customer service isn’t for you. Acknowledging customers is part of your job. Being friendly and helpful and communicative is a HUGE part of being the face, representing the company you’re working for. Have pride in where you work and what you do. Being friendly and smiling doesn’t cost you anything. It’s also sad that this experience led me to write such a Disappointing review. I’m just assuming that business is so good for you guys that losing a potential lifelong customer means nothing.
