- SWS WOct 15, 20251.0We filed a warranty claim for two windows that are getting moisture between the panes. Richmond sent out a technician from Prime Window Systems and he was here for a total of 4 minutes. We have the video on or ring camera. 4 minutes! He pushed on the glass and said they were fine. Never got a ladder out to check the exterior, these windows are on the second story. I’m guessing Richmond will just ride out the one year warranty and do nothing about it. Real classy, this seems to be a common theme with Richmond across their projects, check out other reviews. Our neighbors have also had a poor experience post closing. Buyer beware, poor quality tradesmen, if you can call them that, used to build their homes.

From bare nails on the roof to never before tested leaking pipes, this company has you covered, well they probably won't cover anything, how else would the water get in?

Bait and switch, lies, passing you on to 'warranty', deception, installing broken items just to get you to close, then warranty knows nothing about it and makes you prove the problems, as if the thousands of deceived homeowners are the dishonest ones. Repent and make it right with your customers and don't perpetuate a culture where you teach your employees to lie. God is watching.

My husband found out his salary was going to be cut by 40%, and we asked to cancel our contract because we could no longer addord it. THEY KEPT OUR EARNEST MONEY. Who does that to a family affected by a COVID job reduction? A company whose CEO made 9 million last year. We were also encouraged to sign papers without our realtor- big mistake! Edit two months later: just an update to the situation. Although we never signed the termination paperwork because we said we wanted our lawyer to look at it, Richmond went ahead and listed our lot for sale and sold it to someone else immediately. So not only did they get to keep our earnest money, but we lost the lot. We talk to the VP Kristin and she never apologized for anything that happened during this process.
