I was initially connected with this agency through my home builder, and Michelle W. was assigned as my agent. During the stress of moving, I selected a plan quickly just to move the process forward.
Several months later, I reached out to Michelle to review my coverage and explore bundling my home and auto policies. I had already done the necessary research and was simply looking for assistance with implementation. Unfortunately, the response I received was brief and did not address my questions, and I did not receive any further follow-up despite providing my contact information.
Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this agent or agency. I was ultimately able to find better coverage, more competitive pricing, and a significantly higher level of customer service with another provider.

I was totally unaware that my Nationwide home insurance was processed through AHI, I was under the impression that I was dealing directly with Nationwide. Anyway, here's my story and figures are rounded. I got a notice from Nationwide that my premium had automatically been paid through my mortgage escrow, $1900, fine!
A few weeks later I received a mailing from AARP inviting me to get a free home insurance quote, I usually ignore these but with the Nationwide payment fresh in mind I decided to go for it. The quote came back as $900, directly with The Hartford. I called the number provided on the earlier Nationwide payment notice to question their policy premium and started talking to someone I presumed to be a Nationwide employee, AHI wasn't mentioned on the notice. Well, during the conversation I learn that my insurance was bought through an agency called AHI and that was who I was speaking with. I was told the Nationwide rate was set by them and there's nothing they can do about it. I said, hang on, you're an agency, the reason people go through an agency is to get the best deal, send me quotes from the other insurance companies you represent. They did that, they sent me five quotes from name brand companies, for these amounts... $1100, $1200, $1200, $1500 and $1500. Note, all were substationally less than the $1900 Nationwide premium they were charging me. Needless to say, I cancelled that policy and signed up with The Hartford. AHI is clearly working for the commission, not their clients. Avoid them like the plague.
