- DGDaniel GlascockDec 22, 20241.0We have been in our home for 3 year in Crystal Valley and I will NEVER buy a Richmond home again. If I ever look to buy a new home again and discover the home I’m looking at is a Richmond home I will not buy it. Our experience has been terrible. We paid for our cabinets to be built out for the fridge to be flush, that didn’t happen and we were not compensated for that, our backsplash was done so terrible they had to replace the wall, our entry way wall is warped because of the lumber they used and so is our neighbors and they will not fix this so if you like your wall to look like a wave then you might like this. Our refrigerator that we purchased with the house was lost so they replaced it with a random fridge that is falling apart after only 3 years. Our dishwasher has had to have parts replaced multiple times. They didn’t want to put railings in our front and back porch even though the picture of the front of the house we picked had them and we were told we would have railings, they finally put them on the front porch but the job was an afterthought and you can tell. They refused to put stairs in our back porch because it wasn’t so many inches from the ground but when I stood on the ground my porch came up to my hips so apparently everyone takes very large steps naturally. They lost part of our fire place because one of the employees ran off with it so they parted out from another fire place and now it just looks weird but we are told it should look like that. My neighbors can’t even vacuumed their house without popping a breaker but they somehow still did the electrical to code. When we turn the ceiling light on in our room, it makes other lights and lamps flicker randomly. The list goes on. This company does less than half ass work and calls it good. The house isn’t worth the money spent. You are better off going with a builder that knows what they are doing and takes accountability and fixes mistakes. DO NOT BUY RICHMOND HOMES.
