  Great store, they almost always have what I am looking for, and at great prices! The owner is very friendly and helpful if you have a question or need assistance. Places like this make it easy to stay local and avoid the big box stores

  I needed to get a set screw and wrench for a 12-year-old lock set. I knew if I went to a big chain hardware store the likelihood would be very low that I would find exactly what I needed. Instead, I patronized a very old fashioned local and well tread hardware store in North hollywood. In fact it's called North Hollywood Hardware. I showed the counter person exactly what I needed the set screw for and he simply got up and walk to the right aisle and almost to the exact right drawer the first time. They had exactly what I needed and I spent a princely sum of less than $2 for the set screw and a wrench. I seriously doubt I would have found that at any big chain store, which is another reason why it's always better to patronize local small merchants. North Hollywood Hardware is the real deal and is highly recommended.
