I have been a client of Veteran Air, and was so happy and trusting of their business. I received a postcard from Veteran Air indicating I had pre-paid services for my water heater and air conditioning/heater. I called the number on the postcard and said I didn’t think I had purchased such a plan. They said I had the plan, so I scheduled a water hearer flush, and air conditioning/heater service. When the technician arrived, they were in a Dial One Sonshine van. I told the technician I was expecting Veteran Air, not Dial Ine Sonshine. He said they purchased Veteran Air. The technician tested my water in the kitchen, checked both bathrooms and went to the water heater closet and started working on the water heater. The technician showed me pictures of my water heater and said it needed replacement and he was hesitant to flush it because it is old. I told him not to flush it, just put everything back and I will take a quote on replacement, but not today. That night the shower water was lukewarm. I went to the water heater and the dial had been moved from hot to warm. I reset it to hot. The next morning I had no hot or warm water. I looked and the pilot light was out. I tried 8-10 times and couldn’t light the pilot. I researched companies and got a referral to a reputable company who agreed to come out the next day to replace my water heater for a much better price than Dial One Sonshine. I asked the new technician to try and light the pilot light so I would know for myself whether something was wrong. He tried many times and the pilot wouldn’t light. He said maybe something was broken on the ignition. I do not recommend Dial One Sonshine. It is too coincidental that my water heater breaks as soon as their technician touches it.

We recently had service from Dial One and overall, the experience was good. The representative was friendly and professional, and the company did an excellent job keeping us updated on arrival time — which we really appreciated.
The repair itself was done well, but we did feel that the cost of the repair could have been explained a bit more clearly. The representative pointed out our annual maintenance savings, and my husband thought that was the cost of the new part when he approved it. That’s partly on us for not reviewing the full invoice more closely, but a clearer breakdown upfront would have helped avoid the confusion.
Also, during the repair, some water came out of the water heater, unexpectedly creating a bit of a mess that needed to be cleaned up.
Estimate for work seemed high but not sure as we haven't ever had to do a repair on this unit.

Broc did a great job doing my winter furnace checkup. His company took over from the original company I bought my furnace and air cond through. I had one last prepaid winter checkup. He sent me a review of what he did and recommendations. Based on cost will consider at another time. I was told I needed to replace all my ducts. After speaking with his associate on phone said it could cost as much as 10,000. He needed to come out to give me a quote. Felt a bit pressured to do it right away based on what was told to me. So with that kind of money I later went up and looked at ducts which didn’t appear as I was told and called another company to look at them. After getting a second opinion I was told no leaks and I have another couple of years of life on the older gray plastic and all the Mylar ones that were newer were find with lots of life left. My star rating is just for the winter checkup.

I brought up 2 safety issues for the technician to check on for me (a natural gas leak, and improper exhaust venting from the water heater), and we and the technician waited 2 hours for the manager to arrive to get a price, but I couldn't wait any longer. I never received a call back to reschedule, or received any bid for the repairs. The technician confirmed the gas is leaking, and the exhaust venting needs to be repaired. I never received any summary report of the inspection or visit whatsoever. This company is affiliated with Veteran Air, who I've had great experiences with, but this new partnership with this plumbing company is currently lacking in maturity.
